Ross Fletcher calls Derby County 2007 EPL promotion winning goal
After retiring at the end of the 2011 season, US National Team alum and Seattle Sounders goalkeeper
Kasey Keller has a new role with the club. He will be joining play-by-play voice Ross Fletcher in
the booth for Sounders television and radio broadcasts. "It's exciting for me to be involved with
our broadcasts and stay involved with the club," Keller said.
We'll have more shortly on Ross Fletcher, the new voice of Sounders FC. But in the meantime you
can enjoy a reel of him calling some soccer (and basketball).

I reckon a run of the mill, ho-hum recap of this defeat our sixth of the term would represent
the most extraneous of missions. What I really fancy at the moment is a mindless ramble on any
number of things that caught my eye during this eyesore of a match.

On with the musings:
• No need to hold any punches here.
Andy Carroll shoots straight at Ross Turnbull with his spot-kick which would have put Liverpool

The mist has cleared from derby day. Undoubtedly Jack Rodwells red card has been on
everyone's lips.Everyone on the blue half of Merseyside is bemoaning the the sending off, but
common sense has prevailed over at Anfield this photo has done the rounds and tell me these

Everton have vowed to take 'firm and far-reaching action' against anyone who is found to have
thrown objects at Liverpool players during Saturday's Merseyside derby.
Objects - including what appeared to be at least one coin and a number of plastic bottles - were
seen being hurled at the likes of Luis Suarez and Craig Bellamy at Goodison Park over the weekend.

A missed career on the stage Leeds goalscorer Ross McCormack mastered the archetypal 'going down in
instalments' in last night's dramatic 3-3 draw at Brighton.
Manchester United, bulldozing through the 2011-12 football campaigns, will lose to Leeds United in
Third Round Carling Cup action. Here's four reasons why.
1. Ross McCormack: The 25-year-old Scottish attacker is en fuego right now with four goals
in his last three matches for Leeds.
Everton have confirmed that striker Jermaine Beckford has left the club in a £3 million deal.
The transfer sees Beckford drop down a division to the Championship as he joins Sven Goran
Eriksson's Leicester City side. Beckford failed to make the grade at Goodison Park, often
frustrating Toffees fans by missing countless goalscoring opportunities.
While Everton might be a mess, when it comes to come money, they do have something to smile about:
Ross Barkley. Everton's rising star Barkley is the best come out of their academy since Rooney.
Over the last couple of years, Everton's academy has produced a ton of talent over the last couple
of years and is starting to look like the West Ham Academy that produced so many great players in
the '90's.
Trouble arrives for Chelsea ahead of their second league game this weekend against West Brom
after reports from the Blues' camp confirmed that goalkeeper, Peter Cech, picked up an injury
during training and is likely to be absent for three-four weeks.
The bad news was revealed by the London club's manager, Andre Villas-Boas to the press stating
that the Czech international player suffered a ligament injury because he fell awkwardly in the end
of Wednesday's training.
Chelsea's #1 goalkeeper Petr Cech has been ruled out for a few weeks after sustaining a knee injury
in training. From a fantasy footie perpective, Hilario (4.5M) and Ross Turnbull (4.5M) will battle
it out for starts to replace Cech ... Continue reading →

Leeds fell behind when Jack Compton scored but Ramon Nunez equalised about 25 minutes into the
second half. Bradford went back in front with a fine goal from Michael Flynn.Ross McCormack came
back with the equaliser. Núñez scored the winning goal shortly after that.

When Amadou Sanyang was announced as a Seattle Sounder signee the first question was "Why is he
a free?" Toronto FC had let him go as he recovered from a significant concussion. An issue that is
also in light for the Sounders as Terry Boss is still recovering (3 to 6 days) from his during the
Manchester United friendly.
Playing the worst team in MLS Colorado continued their lack-luster play, and they got burned by it.
What should have been an easy won resulted in the Rapids 5th draw in a row and 6th draw in 7
games.
This game was much like last week's home game against Toronto. Lots of possession by the Rapids in
the defensive third but no ability to capitalize on it.
I need to re-iterate for the most part, alot of what we are reading at the moment is pure
speculation but it seems that if one report is to be believed that Chelsea have made their first
transfer move of the summer by making a move for 19-year old Genk keeper Thibault Courtois. The 6ft
4in player has been in great form this season as Genk won their League title.

I have contributed to the magazine writing a They Retired The Shirt feature on Franco Baresi
which I hope readers will enjoy.
MLS has a new set of roster rules for this season now that the rosters have expanded to 30 players.
Here's a (hopefully) simplified look at the rules and how our current camp roster might fit into
them.
