The demonstrative enthusiasm Jurgen Klinsmann brings to US Soccer was palpable last night from my seat in the second row behind the United States bench at Lincoln Financial Field. For those who felt that Bob Bradley was robotic and displayed little emotion and joy for the game, the first match of the Klinsmann era at least showed that there will be some smiles and fun in the US camp.

After trials with teams across Sweden, Andy Stadler (Wauwatosa West) signed with Sandvikens IF this week.

Sandvikens (6-2-3) is second in the Division 2 Norra Svealand, one of six leagues across Sweden that comprises the country's fourth division.

Central defender Greg Rosenthal (UW-Milwaukee) also plays in the league with Gamla Upsala SK, which is in fourth place and plays Sandvikens when the league resumes July 30.

Greg Rosenthal (UW-Milwaukee) apparently is off to a great start to his professional career.

The Gamla Upsala SK center back has been the best defender in Sweden's Division 2 so far this season, according to voters in a poll conducted by a website that covers the 72 teams in the division.
