puntos en el Gigante de Arroyito por la 35º jornada del Nacional B.
Demasiado pequeño el partido en relación al marco, la expectativa y el botín en juego. Si alguno

Convencer, ganar un partido importante y meterle presión a Instituto (rival directo en la
cúspide).
Pero (nuevamente) River no convenció y, si bien insinuó algo más que el ascendente y
aconsejado Gimnasia, no logró quebrar el 0-0 y sigue sumando dudas.
14.03.2012 - Rosario Central venció (2-0) a Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy y sigue prendido en
el cuarteto dominador del Nacional B. Con el partido ya definido, a dos minutos del final, Juan
Antonio Pizzi (DT), mandó a la cancha al defensor Matías Lequi. Fue sorpresa para
algunos (incluso el árbitro): Lequi no había salido como titular porque se encuentra lesionado.
12.03.2012 - A poco de padecerla en Rosario (ante Rosario Central), la gente de
Atlanta volvió a ser agredida, esta vez en el estadio de Chacarita (San Martín).
El partido, catalogado de alto riesgo, se jugó sin público visitante y terminó empatado 1-1.
Enseguida un grupo de hinchas de Chacarita (barrabravas identificados) ingresaron al sector
reservado para dirigentes y familiares de los jugadores de Atlanta y los agredieron.
A seis meses del (legal) regreso de las parcialidades visitantes a los estadios del ascenso, un
club tradicional de Primera División recibe con violencia y robos en las inmediaciones de su
estadio a hinchas visitantes.
Si bien el historial de 82 partidos entre Atlanta y Rosario Central favorece a los bohemios (33 a
31 con 18 empates), desde 1929, Atlanta jugó oficialmente 37 partidos en el Gigante de Arroyito
(9G, 8E, 20P) y la última victoria fue 1-0 en 1985 (Primera B).

Rosario Central en La Plata por la 21º fecha del Nacional B.
No fue hace tanto tiempo si tenemos en cuenta el receso de verano. Desde tiempo de Lunati
(favoreciendo a River, 11.2011), no se veía otro asunto similar.

La Plata, Ríver soportó la presión y despachó a Chacarita para treparse a la punta del
torneo.

As you can see above, FIFA has granted a provisional waiver to the USSF to register Martin Rivero
as a Colorado Rapid. This means he's now eligible to play in first team and reserve games. FIFA had
to do this because the Argentine FA has still not provided Rivero's International Transfer
Certificate.
Well it took a while and I think the deal changed (possibly more than once) but Martin Rivero, a 22
year old Argentine midfielder, has finally been signed by the Rapids. As usual terms of the deal
were not announced but it is a loan, not a signing. He's expected to travel with the team to
Hawai'i on Sunday.
The reinvention of the Colorado Rapids as an attacking, Latin-flavored side continued on
Thursday with the club announcing the acquisition of an attacking midfielder.
Martín Rivero, a 22-year-old playmaker, most recently played with Rosario Central in his native
Argentina. Rivero will be added to the roster as an international player and is expected to join
the club before the team's trip to Hawaii.
Well the Rapids, via a tweet from Tim Hinchey, essentially confirmed that our new #10 is Martin
Rivero. However there was no official announcement of the signing today. The Denver Post suggests

The Rapids had scheduled the announcement of their new Argentine #10 today at 3pm, but President
Tim Hinchey tweeted this afternoon that the announcement would be delayed until tomorrow due to the
fact he had to take an unexpected trip to Dallas. Meanwhile the Denver Post is reporting that the
player is likely Martin Rivero, formally of Rosario Central in the Argentine 2nd division.
