Arsenal missed the chance to go fourth in the Premier League as they were denied by a series of
saves from Wayne Hennessey when being held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners, without a defeat to Wolves since 1979, were looking to capitalise on a draw between
Chelsea and Fulham on Boxing Day and took the lead after only eight minutes whenGervinho beat
the offside trap to score his fourth goal of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-2 Norwich City Premier League 19th December 2011
A hard-working Wolves came back twice against Norwich City At Molineux to secure a vital point
which inches Mick McCarthy's men another few steps away from the drop-zone.
LFC v Wolves: Carroll, Adam, Downing and Henderson return
Kenny Dalglish has gone back to by and large the same team that lost last weekend to Spurs for
today's home game against Wolves. Daniel Agger's rib injury means he's out for several weeks and so
Kenny has moved Skrtel into the centre of defence (a position he's far better at than right-back)
bringing Martin Kelly in at full-back.
Gerrard Looking To Return
Liverpool Skipper Steven Gerrard could make his Premier League return and would like to mark his
return with a victory against Wolves, also Kenny Dalglish's side would like to bounce back from two
consecutive defeats in the league. The Reds gained some confidence with a win against Brighton in
the Carling Cup on Wednesday, with two goals from Bellamy and Kuyt.
Liverpool look to tomorrow's match with an eye to getting back on track in league after losing
two straight, but can take a few positives from the League Cup win over Brighton on Wednesday.
Similar story for Wolves, who've also lost two straight after starting the season with two
consecutive wins.

Johnson to the Rescue
The signing of Roger Johnson has obviously excited Wolves fans. It seems too much to dare to
hope that one man can transform last season's 17th leakiest Premier League defence into a
formidable unit.

Five Things We Learned From Wolves vs Fulham August 21st 2011

Johnson to the Rescue
The signing of Roger Johnson has obviously excited Wolves fans.
Let's see Rooney score a volley with his left leg
Puns are a nuisance. Can't live with it, can't live without it. The visitors being of the
Wolves' kind, you will forgive my lack effort in creating a better title. However, let's not focus
on my creative abilities and focus more on the creative abilities of the players currently wearing
the jersey of Arsenal Football Club.

We present the best images from a quite astonishing weekend of Premier League football:

After 92 minutes at the Reebok Stadium, Wolves were looking set to earn themselves a creditable
draw. After 93 minutes Bolton had nicked a goal and had escaped with all three points, condemning
Wolves to their 15th defeat in 24 games.
The point earned from the 0-0 draw was beginning to look like a necessity on a night when all
around them were picking up points.
Danny breathes life into Bolton. A sign of what's to come?
The fire.
If you missed it, Daniel Sturridge made one hell of an impact today on his debut for Bolton. So
did Gael Kakuta at Fulham for that matter.
Nevertheless, it was Sturridge who stole the headlines, scoring the winner two minutes into
added time for Wanderers in a cagey 1-0 win at home to Wolves.
Three straight games without a goal for the Wanderers going into the match with Wolves. The
prospect of four straight scoreless matches looming overhead as the team's offense was misfiring on
all cylinders.
Wednesday night welcomed Bolton new boy Daniel Sturridge as well as old favorite Lee Chung-Yong
into the lineup.
In a match that may be seen as a turning point in their season, Liverpool endured a lousy pitch
and some inspired second half play from Wolves to lodge a 3-0 victory.
Wolves Form: The home side was organized in a standard 4-4-2. The only change
from their previous lineup was the return of skipper Karl Henry to the starting lineup in center
midfield.
Some viewers may have done a double-take early Saturday while watching the replay of Liverpool's
first goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers to see if Fernando Torres was offside or not. With hair
bobbing up and down, it was a female assistant referee who made the critical decision to keep her
flag down, allowing Torres to run on and take a pass from Raul Meireles and for Torres to slide the
ball into the back of the net.
MANCHESTER, England Carlos Tevez scored twice as Manchester City survived a late fightback to beat
Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-3 to move to the top of the English Premier League today. The Argentinian
international Tevez struck his 14th and 15th goals of the season while Ivory Coast brothers Kolo
and Yaya Toure both netted as City [.
Manchester City clung on to beat Wolves 4-3 and move to the top of the Premier League, while
struggling champions Chelsea beat Blackburn and Arsenal beat West Ham's.
After Kolo Toure canceled out Nenad Milijas' opener for Wolves, City went 4-1 ahead in the
second half through Carlos Tevez's double and Yaya Toure's strike.
