Brazil 1990 had an average appearance in the World Cup despite that they won all of the 3 games at the groups stage. The team itself that won Copa America 1989 was not bad at all, but was missing the extra effort at the critical moments. May be they were missing Romario whose leg was broken few months before the World Cup.

So Kasey Keller is retiring after this season :(

He is one of the greatest keepers we've ever seen, there is no doubt about that. But instead of showing of his complete awesome-ness in goal, I wanted to find a video of a goal he gave up to Mexico sometime in the 90's. I remember seeing the goal on TV when it happened, but I don't remember exactly what year or competition it was in.

I remember Lothar Matthaus in an interview stating that one of the mistakes he did in his career was to play too late for the national side, especially the Euro 2000 when Germany had paled appearance and linked to his name.

According to OPTA stats, Lucas scythed his way to 172 tackles last season, and he's top of the pile again this season with 22 tackles so far.

Yes, their National team still dreaming of reaching the semi-final of World Cup, but when they face big giants they are up to the challenge. Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Italy all either suffered of hardly passed Mexico when facing them in WC games (apart of Argentina 2010 game).
