With Chelsea losing away at Wigan, we simply HAD to win this afternoon and so we did. It could
have easily ended in a draw or worse if it wasn't for Vito Mannone, the Italian goalkeeper who many
including myself thought he was there just to make numbers. Instead, he played full of confidence,
excellent in leaving his goal and incredible in denying the home side.

Fashion Week in Milan always proves to be a footballer fiesta of fashion and well-cut suits.
This season is no difference.
The Giorgio Armani S/S 2010 show had a bevvy of high profile guests like Janet Jackson and Roger
Federer, plus a few footballers you may know:
Samuel Eto'o (Inter), Mathieu Flamini (Milan) and retired (and seriously fine) Hidetoshi
Nakata.

Alessandro Del Piero met up with Roger Federer as he trains with Switzerland's Davis Cup team in
Genova, Italy today, and he came bearing gifts. Not one, but two Juve shirts one of which
inexplicably bears Federer's first name instead of his last and a pair of boots, which came with
the assurance that "they don't stink".

I know this isn't a soccer video but I couldn't help but post this! I played a lot of soccer
tennis over the years and now I am getting into regular tennis and this is just a phenomenal shot!Â
I had to post it! It is the stuff legends are made of and Roger Federer is a legend!

Juan Martin Del Potro, only the second Argentinian after Guillermo Vilas to win the US Open and
that too beating Roger Federer, might make the Argentinians forget how badly their team is faring
in the World Cup qualifiers.
Then again looking at his towering 6'6" frame, if I were Maradona, I see infinite
possibilities.

OK, so it's tennis but lets face it anyone with eyes in their heads can see that the guy is a
sporting legend and this point in the US Open Semi last night is simply awesome. No camera trickery
was used in this footage, this is just pure unadulterated magic!

Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga took out the greatest tennis player of all time, Roger Federer
yesterday at the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
And today, Tsonga's cousin, Charles N'Zogbia, looks to get the EPL season started off on the right
foot (literally - as he could be featured in a wide right role rather than his customary wide left
role under new manager Roberto Martinez) as Wigan travel to Aston Villa.

Whatever level of sport you play at stepping down at the peak of your career to play at a lower
level is practically unheard of. These guys are born winners and focus on winning and everything
that goes with it.
Craig Johnston stopped completely at 28, but can you imagine Ronaldo stepping down to division 2
anytime soon, Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, or Roger Federer at their peak stepping down to local
tournaments only.

Na presença de Pete Sampras, Roger Federer venceu o Torneio de Wimbledon e batendo igualmente o

I think by now you all heard the news of Real Madrid given permission by Manchester United to
talk to Cristiano Ronaldo. And I'm more than sure many Arsenal fans will be delighted by this,
knowing they will no longer see the Portuguese dive or cry.
But I'm not.
Without taking anything away from other players, Manchester United became a stronger force when
he joined them and in the last couple of years he got them out of jail in numerous occasions.

Since this is a trilogy with a chance of a bonus part; either, for purposes of completeness, or
due to the commercial success of said trilogy we will devote a post each for attack, midfield and
defence.

Well after the debacle against the Netherlands it was relieving to see England step up and deal
with a very tricky match against Pakistan so professionally.
The loss to the Dutch was utterly shocking but Twenty20 can be like that 'cause the game can get
away from you so quickly. Against Pakistan that never really looked like happening.

"If you play tennis tomorrow, you lose against Nadal, you can still say you are a good
player."
Roger Federer might be comforted by Wenger's words but the fact is that he still lost and lost
not because he played badly, he just came up against a more relentless player.
We would have no problems if Arsenal had done what Federer did, play a good game, and still
lost.
