Everton manager David Moyes has said today that there is no chance of Man United signing. There
have been suggestions that Man United have already made a bid for the young star but Moyes has
warned United off.
Everton face Man United this evening at Old Trafford and all eyes would have been on Rodwell but he

United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in the late kick off on Saturday in what, on paper,
should be a fairly easy three points for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
I mean no disrespect to Everton by this and on their day they're capable of beating anyone in
the league but the fact of the matter is their injury list is huge and so many key players are
missing.

John Terry has stoked the fires surrounding the current rumour mill that surrounds Chelsea since
the CAS suspended the UEFA Ban that had been imposed on us. Ever since the ban was suspended alot
of focus has been on the fact that Chelsea will be spending in January and JT has done his bit to
continue the speculation right through from now till the end of Jan.

If there is one thing about supporting an "Other-16" club in the English Premier League that really
makes life painful, it's when your club develops a truly great young player and the "Big 4"
vultures start circling trying to take him away. In the case of Everton it's a familiar feeling and
one in which all the financial windfalls don't ease the frustration.

"I would like to do business, but only if the prices are right and that can be a problem in
January," Ferguson said today.
We have been 'warned off' Carlton Cole after reports in the papers reckoned we were ready to
part with £20m for the Chelsea reject. Don't get me wrong, he's doing a good job for West Ham this
season but Darren Bent is having a better time at Sunderland.

Manchester United have been very good at producing youngsters, with a very long line of players
such as Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher. Even more recently, other
examples are Danny Welbeck, Jonny Evans and Darren Gibson. Here. we look at some of the other
players who have the potential to rise from the academy reserve sides, and though some mentioned
are not British like the players mentioned above, they can still become big Manchester United
stars.

Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell is certain that a win over Benfica in Thursday night's Europa
League fixture will boost Everton's confidence. The Toffees currently lie in 13th in the Barclays
Premier League table, and Rodwell believes that the side could be ready to turn the corner.
"We feel good about the performance against Villa but not about the result," said Rodwell.

Rio to Spurs
With Rio Ferdinand suffering from poor form and repeated injuries, the papers have pencilled Harry
Redknapp in for trying to sign our defender in the summer. Rio seems to be gravitating towards the
London lifestyle again and next summer United might be looking to get back some of the £30m they
paid out for him eight years previously.

According to Fleet Street, Chelsea will launch an enormous transfer binge in January.
The FIFA transfer ban hasn't had much, if any, impact on the Chelsea gossip train – I guess
journalists just aren't prepared to give up the stories that would fill hundreds of otherwise empty
column inches every six months.

Who are the very best young players in the world? For the purposes of this article, "young
players" are those no older than 22.
First there are the obvious: Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Alexandre Pato, Francesc Fabregas,
Karim Benzema, etc. Their class has been established before this mysterious "young" label
vanished, and subsequently they command enormous transfer fees, if their clubs are even willing to
part with them.

Rodwell: Poise, Maturity & Culture
It wasn't the strongest or most organised of European opposition but that wasn't the fault of
Everton.
The rather convoluted route to a Europa League final derided with an experimental overpopulation
of match officials has sometimes brought the validity of the event into question.

I was leaning all week towards Everton's Steven Pienaar - his goal last night in the Europa League
only further confirming his chance as a Funny Feeling Friday selection - but, having selected
Everton's Rodwell just a few weeks ago - and seeing as Pienaar is already owned by about 7% of
managers - I went with an unlikely selection, the less than 1% owned Andy Reid.

A morale-boosting win for Everton, and David Moyes can thank 18-year-old Jack Rodwell, who gave
