Pogatetz Ready To Make Second Appology

1
Manchester United's victory over Middlesbrough in the 3rd Round of the Carling Cup was overshadowed by the horrendous 'challenge' on United youngster, Rodrigo Possebon. The Boro captain has claimed it was unintentional, despite catching our player just below the [. Click to continue reading...

Fergie is understandably very angry with Emanuel Pogatetz for his challenge on Rodrigo Possebon. However, the 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who was making his first United start, was taken to hospital, kept in overnight for observation but has now learned there is no break.

"It looked a really bad one.

The South American Curse Is Over

There was a time when Manchester United fans cringed whenever we were linked with a player from South America, following a dreadful history of players originating from the continent playing in our shirt. However, following the emergence of Carlos Tevez, Anderson, the Da Silva twins and Rodrigo Possebon, is it safe to say the curse is [. Click to continue reading...

United's Silva lining as Neville looks set for continued bench role...

4
United drawing with Newcastle on Sunday did not surprise me, I'd predicted it might well happen on this blog, nor has it surprised me in the slightest that Gary Neville looks to have dropped down the pecking order with Wes Brown and Raphael da Silva being preferred to the England defender.

Gary Neville has done well to recover following his 16 month struggle to regain full fitness, but in some ways his biggest battle lies ahead. Click to continue reading...

Rodrigo Possebon

12
Rodrigo Possebon became a Manchester United player in January 2008. Although given the number 34 in the first team, but it would take time for him to play regularly. He is probably not a hot commodity in Brazilian international football since he is not currently called for a duty in the Olympics. Maybe in the [. Click to continue reading...

Brazilians set to dislodge United old guard?...

United welcomed club captain Gary Neville back into the first team for the Community Shield curtain raiser on Sunday, it was a fairly comfortable afternoon for Neville & Co in the Reds back four with Portsmouth's new strike force of Crouch and Defoe failing to hit the high notes on what was a pretty forgettable day for Pompey and their fans. United look set to play to Samba beat with Brazilians looking good......

65
Pre-season games can often look like an exercise in going through the motions in preparation for the real thing, and with United failing to sign any big names this summer many supporters will no doubt be slightly frustrated at the club's inability to find a new striker.

It does seem a bit ridiculous that Fergie hasn't been able to get his man thus far given the success of last season and money in the bank. Click to continue reading...

Rodrigo Possebon set for big things at United?

4
United ended their summer tour of South Africa at the weekend when seeing off the challenge of Portsmouth in the final of the Vodacom Challenge Cup when running out 2-1 winners. The match itself was another exercise in going through the motions in preparation for the real thing, Chris Eagles missed a bag full of chances before finally slotting a well taken second half goal and before that Tevez had missed a retaken penalty, but he too made amends on 63 minutes. What Chants Could Rodrigo Possebon Inspire?

On the Kaizer Chiefs Friendly + Rodrigo Possebon

6
This will be pretty brief because I couldn't watch much of the friendly between United and the Kaizer Chiefs. It's not that I want to be very hard on the players considering it's pre-season but, from what I saw of the match, I thought the display was disjointed. Wayne Rooney huffed and puffed, and was very [. Click to continue reading...
