Karthik’s Observations - Premier League Week I

0
This last weekend, I had to miss the mouthwatering season start fixtures and move houses. So here is my late report based on the highlights I was able to catch online.  Geovanni I cant believe this fellow was released by Manchester City. Facing their mini personnel crisis and lack of funds, I have no idea why [. Click to continue reading...

So now what is Brad Guzan supposed to do?

31
Well Aston Villa have just signed one of England's international goalkeepers in Paul Robinson from Tottenham so it appears that Brad Guzan who also recently signed for Villa will be the backup. This isn't the best way to develop as a goalie, sitting on the bench and watching the games. The top American players should be moving to clubs where they will be given an opportunity. Eddie's first cap

0
I was saving this audio clip of Eddie Robinson until the little feature I wrote about him went up on soccer365.

Jonny Bornstein scored on his debut with the national team last year, but Robinson scoring was way different, mostly because he's so much older. It's not the arrival of a young talent that can now look forward to many more years with the NT. Click to continue reading...

Greatest Goalkeepers' Blunders

Click to continue reading...

Under-pressure keeper Robinson to start for England

1
To say it's been a tough start to the season for the Tottenham goalkeeper, Paul Robinson, would be a huge understatement. A number of high-profile blunders this season has led to many supporters calling for the 27-year-old England man to be dropped for the international qualifiers against Estonia and Russia. A classic case of fickle fan syndrome perhaps, but there's no doubt that Robinson has a huge point to prove for both his club and country over the coming fortnight. Click to continue reading...

Paul Robinson costs Spurs 3 points

12
If you need any more proof that Paul Robinson is complete rubbish, today's Aston Villa-Tottenham match provided plenty. The guy shouldn't be the Spurs number one, yet alone England's.

The first goal is a complete joke. Robinson fails to secure the ball after catching it off a corner and after bouncing off Pascal Chimbonda's foot, it falls to Martin Laursen who slams it home. Click to continue reading...

Spurs Suffer 3-1 Defeat To Arsenal In The 141st North London Derby

Martin Jol's position as Manager of Tottenham Hotspur has become even more uncomfortable over the weekend, following his sides defeat at the hands of local rivals Arsenal. Tottenham vs. Arsenal: Match Review

3
Two stunning goals from Cesc Fabregas and Emanuel Adebayor helped Arsenal to overcome a 1-0 deficit and beat Tottenham 3-1 at White Heart Lane. Arsene Wenger opted for a different line-up than I expected, opting to play Abou Diaby and Mathieu Flamini in the midfield alongside Fabregas and Alex Hleb. The defense was as expected, Kolo Toure and Gilberto at centre-back, with Gael Clichy on the left Click to continue reading...
