Following a tweet from player agent Richard Motzkin that announced Danny Mwanga would be
training with Aston Villa for ten days, the Philadelphia Union confirmed that the striker will miss
the team's first preseason session.
According to the Union, Mwanga "will join his teammates in Orlando on February 6, in time for
the start of the Union's second leg of preseason.
Aston Villa will be the host team of yet another Philadelphia Union player on trial, according
to soccer agent Richard Motzkin.
Former first overall SuperDraft pick Danny Mwanga will train with Aston Villa, of the English
Premier League, for ten days. Mwanga joins Freddy Adu (Rayo Vallecano), Michael Farfan
(Sunderland), Zac MacMath (Everton), Amobi Okugo (SC Freiburg), Sebastien Le Toux (Bolton
Wanderers) and Zach Pfeffer (Hoffenheim) as members of the Union that have spent time training with
overseas clubs prior to the 2012 MLS season.

A report from SI titled "Adu to train with Spanish club with eye on move" says Rayo Vallecano
sporting director Felipe Minambres told The Associated Press on Thursday, "This is the first step,
that he comes and trains and gets to know us and the club, and we get to know him.
UPDATE: A Sounders spokesperson just released this statement, "We are in
advanced negotiations with Christian Tiffert. We will announce a signing when it becomes
official."
Christian Tiffert has signed with the Seattle Sounders, according to just about every news
outlet in Germany, including the Kaiserslautern website and his agent.
Steve Zakuani's chances of making his return for Friday's Reserve League game has moved to
decidedly more than 50-50. The player's agent, Richard Motzkin, announced via Twitter than Zakuani
was expected to play against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

U.S. Under-20 national team standout Marc Pelosi was not released by Liverpool for Under-20 World Cup qualifying, and now it looks as though he won't be taking part in the Under-20 World Cup either even if the Americans qualify.
Pelosi suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his right leg on Sunday playing for Liverpool's U-19 team.
