As we've seen before on Pies, it's fair to say Reebok gave Nike a serious run for their money during the 1990s when it came to cranking out memorable big-budget football adverts.
That said, one of the brand's more enduring campaigns was actually one of their less glitzy projects the 'Other Careers' series of print adverts.
Ryan Giggs did a fair few decent adverts for Reebok (and a fair few naff ones for Quorn) in the mid-1990s, with his sponsors working wonders with the Manchester United winger's often near-lifeless dialogue delivery.
Thankfully, the sportswear brand went and roped in a soundalike for what must surely count as their magnum opus when it comes to their Giggs-related commercial output: The entirely animated lesser-spotted 'Doppelganger' short, which clocks in at almost five minutes.
While their presence in the football realm has waned since, Reebok were a big player on the scene throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, with Ryan Giggs, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry just three notable patrons.
Indeed, the brand went big in an effort to launch their new Sidewinder boot in 1998, assembling a cornucopia of Nineties' pop culture icons asRobbie Williams, Anna Friel, Sting, Reeves & Mortimer, Jarvis Cocker, Darling Dicky Attenborough, David Mellor, Tom Jones, Steven Berkoff, Sylvester McCoy, Gary Oldman, Jose Carreras, Chris Eubank, Warren Mitchell and Wallace & Gromit all playing their respective parts.

It's been many years since Spurs had won at the Reebok and although that ‘hoodoo' had to be
addressed at some point, it was always a worry whether it was going to be a factor.
The end product however was arguably our best result of the season, and although Bolton are in
the bottom three, their form has been decent of late and this match could easily have derailed
thoughts of a final push to the top four placings.
The mosaic read Muamba 6 at the Reebok. The large screen played a collage of clips of the player
in his Bolton career. The visiting Blackburn fans also got into the act chanting his name. There
was even more uplifting news, the midfielder still not quite out of the woods in the cardiac care
unit of the London Chest Hospital, managed to convey his best wishes to Bolton from his hospital
bed.
It's YET ANOTHER game we simply cannot afford to drop points in. Bolton have nothing really to lose
and everything to gain and for Chelsea and AVB, a draw or defeat would pile more and more pressure
on us in the battle to finish fourth.
Looking back to the game at The Reebok earlier in the season, Chelsea were on a high and playing
fast, flowing, attacking football scoring five.
Last night's clash at the Reebok was a classic example of a football match not being an isolated
occasion, and not judged as such, but rather an act in a bigger play, with interpretations not
purely taken from the ninety minutes of action, but from the wider context of both clubs.
Yup he has suffered another stress fracture... to the same BLEEPING ankle!!
This news has only just broken in the last few minutes, and I'm sure there will be
plenty more to follow throughout the day.
Don't blame me.... just the messenger.
I can see where this is going to go now, if we suffer a poor result tonight at the
Reebok it's going to be Wenger's fault for not buying a player to cover for Jack.
It's the worst-kept soccer secret in the English-speaking world, but somehow nobody has officially
announced yet. Here's the skinny: Tim Ream's Bolton deal - now fully done and approved - will keep
him at the Reebok until the summer of 2015.I'm sure eventually these two clubs will admit what we
already know and have a jersey picture party or something.
Last summer, the one thing that provided any consolation to the fact Paul Scholes had retired
was that we had young Tom Cleverley ready to make the step up to the first team. The lad has bags
of talent and after loans at Leicester, Watford and Wigan, was prepared to make his mark in the
Premier League with United.
Sunderland 2-2 Bolton Wanderers Premier League 28th Premier League 2012
Once the king of the Reebok, Super Kev Davies has often struggled to secure a starting berth for
Bolton this season. However, his brace at the Stadium of Light on Saturday could prove utterly
vital to Bolton's fight for survival.
Some of the sides in the Barclays Premier League have very little time to recover from their
weekend endeavours with nine of them having had only around 48 hours to prepare for another top
flight fixture. Here is a glance at the first five, all taking place later today:
Bolton Wanderers Fulham Premier League 7th April 2012
Whether playing in midfield or, as he did on Saturday, up front, Clint 'Deuce' Dempsey is a
handful for any defender and against Bolton at the Reebok, the American continued his superb run of
form with two first-half goals.
We're still trudging through Mordor aren't we? Gary Cahill takes over as Frodo on this day, as
he welcomes his former employer to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
We kind of need a win here. Yeah, we definitely need a win here.
What to say? We've been shit for some time now, and it really doesn't look like getting better
soon.
Back in October Rocky predicted we would be top three by New Year. He was actually close to
being right as a win at home to QPR on New Years Eve took us into the Champions League
qualification spots as we popped Champagne to wave bye bye to Arsenal's annus horribilis.
Unfortunately defeats to Fulham, Swansea and United followed, by the time we drew away at the
Reebok even the most positive bloggers on here were waving goodbye to any hope of Champions League
football next season let alone finishing above the cretins from N17.

Bolton Wanderers 1-2 Wigan Athletic Premier League 11th February 2012
Roberto Martinez' Wigan side moved to within one point of rivals Bolton on Saturday, after the
Latics secured what could be a pivotal victory at the Reebok.
It is a potentially critical weekend at the bottom of the Premier League table.
The games almost have a play-off theme to them – with the bottom six facing off against one
another. Blackburn Rovers host QPR, Bolton Wanderers entertain Wigan Athletic and West Brom travel
to Wolves in the Black Country derby.
Bolton Wanderers 0-0 Arsenal Premier League 1st February 2012
Arsenal match reports are starting to write themselves loads of possession, nice passing, loads
of chances, no goals. More often than not you can even tag "concede late goal from set-piece" onto
the end of that, although on this occasion, the Gunners did manage to go off-script and keep their
sheet clean for the night.
Liverpool have hit some sort of form since Gerard has returned from injury. Chelsea stole a
point late in the game at Swansea and are now six points ahead of Arsenal. This season has always
been about a battle for fourth an it's time for the Gunners to buckle up and pick up the points in
games like the next one at the Reebok, many much tougher games will anyway see Arsenal dropping
points in the coming weeks.
After Saturday's capitulation to lowly Bolton at the Reebok 3-1, Kenny Dalglish openly criticised
his players for their attitude and performance in the defeat, even claiming that heads will roll
after that display.
Well Kenny, it was an abject display by the team, a team you largely assembled yourself.
Bolton Wanderers 3-1 Liverpool Premier League 21 January 2012
Starting without a genuine defensive midfielder was always going to leave the visiting Reds
somewhat vulnerable at the Reebok. Still, with Steven Gerrard orchestrating things from midfield and
Bolton ensconced in a relegation battle, Kenny Dalglish and co.
Owen Coyle felt Bolton Wanderers ran out deserved winners following their emphatic 3-1 success over
Liverpool at the Reebok.
Bolton came into the game having lost 10 straight in league action to the Reds, a record that ended
in style on Saturday.
Mark Davies fired the home side ahead early on with Nigel Reo-Coker doubling their advantage in the
29th minute.
Bolton 3:Davies 4′, Reo-Coker 29′, Steinsson 50′ Liverpool 1:Bellamy 37′
Bolton thoroughly dominate Liverpool at the Reebok and coast to a 3-1 victory that boosts them
out of the relegation zone. The host's performance was certainly deserving of victory, and
Liverpool's was equally deserving of a loss.
What you see here is the latest front cover to adorn Manchester United fanzine Red Issue an
image not mocking Fabrice Muamba, his collapse or his plight, but instead chastising the 'grief
mongering' that has surrounded it for the past week or so...
It's near the knuckle, controversial, provocative and tasteless (that's the kind of
material Red Issue tend to trade in) but there is a valid point to be made about the 'I
care most' simpering that can permeate this kind of thing only Red Issue have set about
eviscerating that point with a supreme lack of tact.
It's difficult to know where to start this week's column. On the face of it, a compelling
comeback from two goals down to keep our FA Cup hopes alive, followed by a point and a clean sheet
away from home should constitute a reasonably good week. Yet it doesn't feel like that at all. For
a start, we've put ourselves in a position now where, effectively, any draw represents two points
dropped.
