. . . . WHO WOULDA GUESSED?!?! . . . .

First off, People Magazine (in espanol) has A RED BULL as one of the 10 SEXIEST MEN in AMERICAN in its newest magazine. CHECK IT OUT.

Simultaneously, they are breaking down the possible end of year award winners on MLSNET (MVP, rookie of the year, etc.).

And of course, the only RBNY representative in BOTH catagories and currently trailing Luciano Emilio for league MVP?

Clint Mathis has a left knee contusion.
43 - Francis Doe in, nice attack, sends pass to Wolyniec - his shot saved by Guzan.
49 - CK Red Bulls. taken short, weird idea that fails.
50 Attendance is announced as 10,292. Hmm. I'd guess half that, and I'm still being more generous than Luis was.
52 - Chivas USA nearly connect for another goal, but the ball skips just past.

0 - There are a smattering of fans here. My guess is somewhere around 4,000.
1 - It's me, Andrea, taking over for Luis. Bulls are staying in their huddle far longer than Chivas USA
Reyna and Angel are such a contrast - Claudio has his shirt tucked in and his shorts pulled way up - almost Urkel-style, while Angel has his shirt untucked and long, almost covering the number on his shorts.

Thanks for convincing me to add Fox Soccer Channel. I'm enjoying the Fire/Red Bull game right now. Good stuff.
Ouch. Red card to the Fire. Conde is out and a pk is given. Angel put it away.
WOW! Chicago equalizes. Blanco free kick to Gonzalo Segares. Wow.
Toyota Park looks great, by the way. The fans really celebrated that one.

Some stories on the fallout from Chivas USA's 3-0 win over New York on Sunday from the Bueno bros.
My reaction story: I talked to Jason Hernandez about shutting down Juan Pablo Angel. Hernandez has played sparingly this year but played the best I've seen him play in a long time, maybe ever, on Sunday. For him to continue to improve while not playing consistently says a lot about his mentality and work ethic.

Bruce of DuNord pointed out that his beloved Minnesota Thunder played a small part in helping to develop Francis Doe (he played there four years ago). Doe scored for New York this weekend and had the assist to Juan Pablo Angel to tie the match..
Doe's somewhat unusual nickname "Grandpa" stands out - so does the secondary label of "the serial killer".
