Thierry Henry, once again, has stated his desire to play in the United
States.
In particular . . . . New York.
Big thanks to Ives, who is absolutely the most reliable source there is in the MLS. When is he
ever wrong?! Especially when he gets it from the Times! Love ya.
This is not the first time Henry has expressed interest in our little team.

============================
KEEP THIS IN MIND
There really is alot to take into account going into Gilette this weekend.
First off, the New England team we saw exiting Giants Stadium with a draw is not the team we
will see in Gilette. Thanks, once again, to the horrible playoff rules of this league, the first
leg of the home and home is render meaningless, since all the visiting squad has to do is pack the
box, play defensive football, and hope for the best.
HERE WE GO AGAIN
FSC: 7:30pm. YOU GOTTA GET IN THE GAME!
For the third time in five years, we face off, in the postseason, against another strong New
England team.
For the fourth time this year, these two teams will collide. And the Revodouchers have the
season advantage, with 2 wins and 1 tie.
The Rematch of the Match of the Year.
Well, leading up to the season ender, I ask ya, what will happen tonite?
My prediction?
RBNY 2 - LA 1
I really dont think they have what it takes to beat us. Even if we play our reserves (and I dont
feel that is pompous thinking considering the circumstances).
YUP. ITS A TIE FOLKS.
So much for pouring on the pressure.
That lasted one half. The first one.
And clearly, the second belonged to New England (at least, quality goal scoring opportunity
wise).
Now, with a tie heading into Gilette, our backs are truly against the wall.
What is it about us playing against the Revodouchers?
This will be short and sweet.
Yesterdays loss left a bitter taste in my mouth (which then turned to vomit when I watched the
rest of the Yankees game).
We have a World Class Coach, World Class players, Youngsters who play hard and well, and are a
piece or two away from having a truly dominant club. At least, thats what we thought.
Yup. You heard right. Our curly maned Goalkeeper is calling it a career.
With a 6-6-5 record, a GAA under 1.79, and a team that has made the playoffs, Waterreus has been
at times the hero, and at others, the goat.
What can be agreed upon is the fact that Ronnie has not been the same since that rumored ankle
sprain.
OCTOBER 9th IS HERE!!!!!

More aimless "pie in the sky" Red Bull Championship dreams? YOU BET!
But this time folks . . . we are gonna be positive with GOOD reason.
Check it out . .
With the playoffs secured, a known opponent set, and nothing to gain, I ask you my loyal readers
. . .
What should RBNY do with the next game heading into the playoffs?
We have seen similiar situations in the past - and every coach handles it differently.
Would you put in your best starters?
Or would the scrubs come out to play?
BLACKBOARD FODDER?
======
Ladies and Gentlemen, Steve Nicol:
"The secret to the game is stopping the service."
"We can dominate in the middle of the park and it will nullify their midfield. If we give them
scraps, hopefully we can deal with that, which I am sure we can."
"Best thing to happen to Altidore is playing aside Angel.
New York's Dane Richards still has an outside chance of picking up Rookie of the Year honors.
Unlike Maurice Edu, another top contender, Richards also has a chance to help his team in the MLS
playoffs. His speed is one of his greatest assets and it can really stretch the three-man backline
of New England.
Here's what the Galaxy's Mike Randolph, no slouch in the speed department himself, had to say about
defending Richards.
Pat Walsh points out that Bruce Arena doesn't seem as mighty as he once did.
I'll be honest, that's why even back in early 2006, I was hoping he'd coach a club somewhere,
though not necessarily even in MLS. Arena had gotten comfortable with the U.S. national team,
leading them out against a lot of undermatched squads, frankly. If he ever lost, he tended to blame
MLS, the players, everything but himself.
Since I hold a special place in my heart for Laurie, here are not one, BUT TWO LIMERICKS written
by the Argentine Mastermind of Red Bull Soccer!
Enjoy!
Especially you Laurie
.........................................................................................
The Galaxy are on quite a run,
And this Beckham thing sure has been fun,
But to your Surprise
Your Playoff hope dies
The Red Bulls win nine to one
Ouchie poo?
Here we go, here we go!
With the pregame show, that is. It's almost over, though. Reyna's on the field.
10 - Sorry, connection problems. Red Bull is playing well but the game is scoreless.
15 - Lots of balls going over the top - not a great-looking game. I could be biased because of the
NFL lines.
16 - Altidore with a shot - hits the crossbar.
