Well, not really major at all. Just a slight change.
Take a look for yourself.

NEW:
My guess is that management wanted the Bulls in the logo to resemble our play on the field this
year . . . static.
But I digress.
Yesterday the Red Bulls of New York released drawings of their new stadium design and all I can say
is marvelous. A stadium for the team from NY has been one of the best jokes in MLS history, however
if this concept comes into reality, all those will be forgotten. Simply put, this is exactly the
type of stadium the league and the sport needs to go to the next level.
Soccer365 is reporting interest from Sydney FC in our ex beer swilling party man, Clint
Mathis.
"I heard that he is interested in playing in the A-League, so we followed it up," Coach Kosmina
told the Daily Telegraph. "We've contacted Clint's agent, so we'll see how he goes on Tuesday."
They will be scouting him in their upcoming LA Galaxy friendly.
Welcome to the first installment of Bulls Abroad. This segment will feature achievements by
Metro Grads throughout the world, highlighted usually by one individual.
And who better to highlight than Michael Bradley.
WHAT A WAY TO MAKE A FREE AGENT ENTRANCE!
AS.com, the Spanish News Daily, is reporting Real Madrids interest in Jozy Altidore.
And its front page news.
The Jozy Bandwagon starts off with interest from Real Madrid. Word is that Madrid has been
scouting Jozy, and the news just never made it out. Amazing.
I was expecting some smaller club interest, due to what I believe is an American biased across
the world, but man, was I proven wrong.
I'm with Mike H at My Soccer Blog - this is going to be a REALLY nice stadium for the Red Bulls
that actually looks like it was meant for soccer. Of course they'll host concerts and other events
- but it's a soccer stadium first and foremost. But what's with the black rectangles in [...]
Thierry Henry, once again, has stated his desire to play in the United
States.
In particular . . . . New York.
Big thanks to Ives, who is absolutely the most reliable source there is in the MLS. When is he
ever wrong?! Especially when he gets it from the Times! Love ya.
This is not the first time Henry has expressed interest in our little team.
Our favorite bearded wonder is bringing his merry little band to Giants Stadium! (Hey, Lalas
always said he would bring a World Class Team to New York? Am I right? Fellas?)
And it looks like the former English captain and Spice Rack owner will be joining them! And from
the looks of it, dont expect an entrance at the 78th minute .

13LEGEND
A fan favorite.
Honored this year for being our all time leading scorer.
Road the bench unexplicabley (in my opinion). And never voiced discontent, even when he had the
chance at the end of season press conference.
TRADED FOR A 3RD ROUNDER
If its about money, understandable.
Both are gone from their present jobs, but one resigned to take another job, while another is
unemployed after being fired.
OVERVIEW:
The Bulls are reeling, but maybe, the small possibility of a Dema return can infuse some life
into this bunch. Meanwhile, The scum come to town riding relatively high as far as their most
recent streak of winning ways goes, but reality has also smacked DC in the face in the form of
injuries. Its going to be a showdown of WHOEVER IS LESS HOBBLED, WINS.
KEEP THIS IN MIND
There really is alot to take into account going into Gilette this weekend.
First off, the New England team we saw exiting Giants Stadium with a draw is not the team we
will see in Gilette. Thanks, once again, to the horrible playoff rules of this league, the first
leg of the home and home is render meaningless, since all the visiting squad has to do is pack the
box, play defensive football, and hope for the best.
The New York Times is reporting that the Red Bulls are looking to buy out Claudio Reynas million
dollar contract, thus freeing up space for a second DP signing.
With rumors flying that all teams shall receive an extra DP, The RBNY Organization is staring at
a situation where three world class players may be manning their starting 11 (4 if you count Jozy,
who will most certainly NOT be a DP).
HERE WE GO AGAIN
FSC: 7:30pm. YOU GOTTA GET IN THE GAME!
For the third time in five years, we face off, in the postseason, against another strong New
England team.
For the fourth time this year, these two teams will collide. And the Revodouchers have the
season advantage, with 2 wins and 1 tie.
Watch out! Today at 3pm is the MLS waiver draft (how many drafts are there anyway?!?!)
We have the 7th pick.
Here are our picks, per team:
CHIVAS: David Arvizu, Desmond Brooks, Carlos Llamosa, Rodrigo Lopez, Laurent
Merlin, Justin Myers, Ramon Nunez, Orlando Perez, Eder Robles, Erasmo Solorzano
COLORADO: Zach Thornton
COLUMBUS: Ben Hunter
DALLAS: Juan Botero
D.
Ok. Time for a cold shower. The season didnt end at 5-4.
This WILL be difficult for me, but oh well. Its my virtual job.
Todays Topic : In light of "The Game of the Year," and with nearly three quarters of the season
already in our rear view, we have had more than enough time to analyze our Designated Player
acquisitions.
Thanks to theoffsiderules for this one (at least that is where I first heard it).
Dane Richards has been called back up for the Jammin Jamaicans!
And is listed as a forward. Hmmm. Ok? Wonder what Bora would have thought about that . . .
But anyway. Our youth corps continue their romp overseas, as Dane and Altidore lead the way to
yet another exciting speculation filled, hope building offseason.
HAPPY TURKEY DAY EVERYONE!
After an awesome year for our league, here is what has made me a thankful fan:
WHAT I AM THANKFUL FOR:
o The 2007 MLS season: This has been a beautiful year, the best I have seen in
my . . . um . .
Jose Mourinho (aka a big name foreign coach)
In a landslide, no questions about it win, the fan base has spoken up and have left no doubt -
we arent interested in a local guy with strong grass roots connections - we want to keep up with
the Lalas's.
With Gullit signing onto LA, the pressure is on Red Bull New York to produce a name the fans
will be familiar and comfortable with.
Look. If Wednesdays spectacle is refered to ANYWHERE as the MLS WAIVER DRAFT, they would be
sadly mistaken. Unless every team in the league folds and TFC is the only one standing. Then,
MAYBE, you could get away with that.
The mighty TFC has added what it needed all season - a goalkeeper.
Much to my surprise, the Osorio deal doesnt seem to float everyones boat.
What was a throw in poll for me turned out to reveal alot - many of you dont believe in this
move.
Now my opinion is that Osorio will improve our on the field product much more than any first
rounder. Thats the bottom line.
The Rematch of the Match of the Year.
Well, leading up to the season ender, I ask ya, what will happen tonite?
My prediction?
RBNY 2 - LA 1
I really dont think they have what it takes to beat us. Even if we play our reserves (and I dont
feel that is pompous thinking considering the circumstances).
YUP. ITS A TIE FOLKS.
So much for pouring on the pressure.
That lasted one half. The first one.
And clearly, the second belonged to New England (at least, quality goal scoring opportunity
wise).
Now, with a tie heading into Gilette, our backs are truly against the wall.
What is it about us playing against the Revodouchers?
Bruce Arena isnt the only "one and done" coach in our stable. We have had plenty. Just another
notch in the belt of woe I suppose.
I mean, look at this list:
Eddie Firmani (1996)
Carlos Queiroz (1996)
Carlos Alberto Parreira (1997)
Alfonso Mondelo (1998)
Bora Milutinović (1998–1999)
Octavio Zambrano (2000–2002)
Bob Bradley (2003–2005)
Mo Johnston (2005–2006)
Richie Williams (2006; interim)
Bruce Arena (2006–2007)
Impressive or Depressing?
Well, leave it up to me to leave during the most tumultuous week in the Red Bulls 2007
season!
Lets start from the start shall we ?
RED BULLS LOSE TO THE REVOLUTION
I missed the game. Ill admit to that. Disney doesnt have any interest in playing RBNY games I
suppose.
But, from what Ive read from my favorite sources, we didnt look great or horrible out there.
Yea, I realize this may be old news for some, but Jozy is heading to South Africa, where the
next World Cup is taking place, against the hosts themselves! That is something to celebrate (for
those of you holding razors to your wrists)!
This is a wise move by Bob Bradley - give the kid the taste of the eventual setting. He will be
there eventually on the real stage, no doubt about it.
Vide, Reynas understudy, is now an Earthquake.
As details emerge, ill have more to say. But congrats to San Jose. I believe, in time, this will
be considered a big metro loss.
Ill be back later for more!
Hey everyone.
We are full steam ahead into the offseason, with no leader at our helm. Above, we have the top 9
candidates for the RBNY job, based on rumors, reader suggestions and so forth.
I also have an option for OTHER. I would definitely like to see, for those that choose that
option, WHOM it is you are looking at, and why.
Its been a month of extreme lows and equally exciting highs for our 18 year old wonderkind Jozy
Altidore.
Petr Nowak has given our prized commodity, and our promising right back, Hunter Freeman, the
opportunity to represent their countries with the under 23 squad, inviting them to the very first
training camp, in preperation for the Beijing olympics.
We are 100% owners, the plans have changed, and the wheels are back in motion - Red Bull Park
will once again be the center piece of the Harrison revitilization project (dont you have to be
VITALIZED first in order to get REVITALIZED?!?!).
The original design called for 20,000 seats, and more luxury boxes.
Laurie has reported her story, so I can post this (man I have to think more about these
posts!).
Anyway. Clint Mathis opened up the scoring for LA. They went on to win. I thought he had nothing
left?
Miss ya Cleetus.
Ireland . . . Scotland . . . anywhere that you can find men in quilts, THATS where you will find
Bruce Arena!
Looking to rebound from his . . . um . . . successes? . . . as a Red Bulls coach, Bruce Arena
has decided to hit the international scene with an unprecedented proposition . . . an American
coach would be able to guide a European International to the promised land!
It has been a rough stretch for the Red Bulls. The past few games have seen some difficult second
halves, and the second half came early last night.
Angel didn't get to tie the MLS goal streak record, although he made nice work of an early Crew
corner, with a deflected header over the RB net. Mendes also had a key stop against Herron.
Speaking of Herron, I'm afraid to think of what the final score would have looked like if he
started yesterday.
I never thought that the Minnesota Thunder would come up TWICE in a week on a Red Bulls blog . .
. but here we are.
Arena and Company are looking into Mr. Francis Doe, formerly a player in Greece with extensive
time in the USL, to fulfill our dire need for a forward. (thanks to IVES)
Wait . . . . what?
Well, here it is - nine goals - an MLS record for this year.
. . . . WHO WOULDA GUESSED?!?! . . . .
First off, People Magazine (in espanol) has A RED BULL as one of the 10 SEXIEST MEN in AMERICAN
in its newest magazine. CHECK IT OUT.
Simultaneously, they are breaking down the possible end of year award winners on MLSNET (MVP,
rookie of the year, etc.).
And of course, the only RBNY representative in BOTH catagories and currently trailing Luciano
Emilio for league MVP?
This will be short and sweet.
Yesterdays loss left a bitter taste in my mouth (which then turned to vomit when I watched the
rest of the Yankees game).
We have a World Class Coach, World Class players, Youngsters who play hard and well, and are a
piece or two away from having a truly dominant club. At least, thats what we thought.
