Champions League Report: Predicting the final 16

SoccerLens 05 November @ 02:42 AM EST

Champions League View: Bayern Munich and Liverpool FC could get 10 points and still not qualify.

An entertaining set of Champions League games threw up some unexpected results, great games and the odd ninja (but not a very effective one). Rangers fans got gassed

Dirty Tackle 04 November @ 07:18 PM EST

Wednesday's Champions League match between Rangers and Unirea Urziceni ended with a 1-1 draw after two late goals in Bucharest, but the real action was in the stands, where Rangers fans clashed with CS gas wielding stewards. Says Rangers chief executive Martin Bain on the club's official website:

"Obviously the behaviour of some of the fans inside the stadium was unacceptable and no-one likes to see that

"However, what was equally unacceptable was the fact that Rangers came to this stadium with representatives from UEFA and Unirea a number of weeks ago and arranged for the four turnstiles to be open to give access to our supporters.

Champion's League Chumps?

The Scottish Football Blog 04 November @ 06:37 AM EST
4-1, 4-1. Not only Walter Smith's most likely formation for tonight but also the defeats Rangers have suffered in their last two European games. The perceived wisdom is that it's a formation that works better away from home. As it's the formation that will be in use against Unirea Urziceni you've really got to hope that's the case. Tuesday's Daily: Something Old

With J Hutcherson -- The one sentence summary of the Scottish Premier League so far would go something like this: Rangers have money trouble, the Old Firm wants out, and Hibs are pretty good. Maybe its time

Only Time Will Tell 30 October @ 12:38 PM EST
With Rangers getting closer and closer to almost becoming Leeds United, maybe its time for both Celtic and Rangers to run away from the Scottish Premier League and head for greener pastures. Rangers 's club's bankers Lloyds are owed £30million by the end of the campaign.
