News and Updates: Sunday Morning Coming Down

The Offside - Liverpool 06 December @ 04:06 PM EDT

Liverpool still drew yesterday. Sadly, the answer is no.

Glen Johnson confirms what the women at Kickette probably already knew. Oh, he meant playing style. Still, I'm inclined to say that between Benni McCarthy and Sam Allardyce, Rovers are objectively not handsome. They never should have let go of Roque Santa Cruz.

United Bits and Bobs – October 6, 2009

The Offside: Manchester United 06 October @ 09:36 AM EDT

Manchester United have today confirmed that Ritche De Laet will be a United player until at least 2012. The Belgian defender was offered a new contract that will keep him at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future (not entirely sure in what capacity, but at least he'll be here). Footy Thoughts in the Middle of Summer

Soccer Statistics 20 July @ 07:50 AM EDT
I'm currently sitting in my summer apartment in a secret Mediterranean coastal city. It is 35 degrees celsius outside, and I've decided to take a day off from the beach and watch Tour de France highlights on my summer channel of Eurosport. For the uninitiated, with six stages remaining, Alberto Contador of Spain is in the lead (Spain appear to be the champions of sport at the moment), followed by Lance Armstrong in second and Bradley Wiggins of the UK in third. Butt's Brain: News Briefs

Never Captain Nicky Butt 07 April @ 02:00 PM EDT
A few quick random news items/thoughts to hold you over until The Champions League kicks off in a few minutes:
  • Fox Soccer Report gets a new look. (For those of you in North America).
  • Martin Petrov is back with a vengeance. In my opinion, Petrov was the best crosser in the EPL in 2007-2008.
