At Tuesday's Supporters Club Q&A, manager Steve Cotterill and chief executive Mark Arthur sought to
address fans' concerns. Peter Blackburn reports. Despite a litany of mediocre questions, and
mediocre answers, in amongst the usual discussion about recent performances, relationship between
club and fans, and the hope that Forest would beat The Rams in the next [.
I'm not sure if anyone of you out there notice this scenario since the early days of the S.League
that there are these two clubs been "close trading partners".
It's not uncommon to see players of this particular club swapping jerseys for another particular
side after a season or two that in recent years seems to have intensified.
Conor Doyle in Friday's ScrimmageForward Conor Doyle made the short trip to Germany from England, where he's currently playing with
Derby County. The season has been going well for the Rams so far and they sit near the playoff
spots, though there's still a long way to go in the season.
Let's be totally Frank about this. Given a choice of watching Balestier Khalsa playing Woodlands
Wellington or watching the latest reality TV hit from the US what would you rather do? For me, a
trip to Toa Payoh would win hands down.
Woodlands, among other things, had only managed 17 goals going into their 31st game of the season
and were in 12th position two points behind Tanjong Pagar.
The Rams ate my homework Derby County youngster Mason Bennett is set to make his debut aged 15 this
weekend. He will become the Rams' youngest ever player in the process, but his first appearance is
a few days later than planned. Manager Nigel Clough had to shelve plans to include him in the squad

NFL warns teams about faking injuries NFL SI.com.
I'm always intrigued when I read about incidents that occur in sports other than soccer
that crossover in relevance to the Beautiful Game. Last weekend, in the NFL, we had one of those
incidents. It happened in the game between the New York Giants and the St Louis Rams when Giants
safety Deon Grant fell to the ground claiming he was unable to continue because of
cramp.
After hitting the deck in the Derby match and eventually hobbling off (once the Rams had
equalised), it transpires that Chris Cohen has sustained the dreaded anterior cruciate ligament
rupture. Think Julian Bennett, think Dexter Blackstock think up to a year out [...] Read the

Ireland U19 defender Mark O'Brien has signed a four-year deal with Derby County
The 18-year-old Dublin born international has seized his chance in the first team this season,
featuring in all seven Rams games.
O'Brien has started six matches at centre-half, starting in place of the injured Shaun Barker in
five of the club's six Championship matches.
Ok so I haven't posted in almost a month. In that time it was the end of a summer class the
start of fall classes, an earthquake, a hurricane, and the end of the Kickers season. But VCU's 4:0
win over Elon today had me thinking.
VCU was able to pick up a 4:0 win with goals coming from an own goal by Elon, Jason
Johnson, Yoram Mwila, and Jose Carlos Castillo.
Geylang United have been in fine form recently, it's just that Home United have been in better form
and the league leaders breezed out of Bedok Stadium last night with a 3-1 win and three points
extending their lead to five points albeit with a extra game played. Qiu Li continued his fime form
this season netting twice.
Hull Chase Liverpool Youngster Ayala
Hull City manager Nigel Pearson wants to sign Liverpool centre back Daniel Ayala, according to
the Daily Mail. The Tigers have reportedly made a £500,000 bid for the 20 year old from Seville in
an effort to bolster their already young squad.
Not for the first time in recent years the SLeague is proving to be one of the more exciting
leagues in the region.
We're just about at the half way point and we have the usual three horse race, champions Etoile
have slipped down the ladder having four or five games in hand, and look how tight things are at
the top.
One-time English Premier League and now English Football League Championship regulars Derby County
Football Club have unveiled their home outfield player and goalkeeper kits for the 2011/12 season.
According to the Derby County FC website: The stylish new kit, as modelled by John Brayford, will
be worn by the Rams for the forthcoming npower Championship season.
The other day it was Woodlands Wellington who won their first game of the season, defeating Young
Lions. Last night the Rams hosted the winless Tanjong Pagar and it was the turn of the visitors to
earn their first win of the season, winning 1-0 in front of 753 fans.
Bottom of the table looks like.

I don't want to sound patronising but what's happening at the bottom of the SLeague is almost as
exciting as what is happening at the top.
If Derby County have stuttered to another unconvincing season, prolonging Nigel Clough's honeymoon
period to the lengthiest in history this side of Alex Ferguson (remember his poor start from the
late eighties?), Saturday's defeat against Reading caught my attention for the performances of two
galacticos.

Derby County have signed Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones on loan until the end of the season.
The Rams have brought in the 29-year-old as a replacement for Matt Duke, who has been recalled by
his parent club Hull City.
Manager Nigel Clough told the Rams website: "Brad fits the bill perfectly.
Two Indonesian-based Singapore players - Baihakki Khaizan and Shahril Ishak (pictured below) had
joined IPL (Indonesia Premier League) club Medan Chiefs following their release from ISL (Indonesia
Super League) club Persib Bandung.
The fate of the both Singaporeans were in much speculation with a tweet message posted by Baihakki
on 6th February had made it crystal clear for him, at least, that time is up for him in West Java.
LEXINGTON, Va. - The VMI women's soccer program has announced its spring schedule,
according to information released by the program Monday.
After a difficult 2010, the Keydets will open up their spring March 27 at VCU, taking on the Rams
at 2 p.m. in Richmond.
Derby County is hoping to wrap up a loan deal for Liverpool centre-half Daniel Ayala.
Ayala, 20, was on loan with Hull City earlier this season and the Tigers are eager to see him
return to the club.
But Rams manager Nigel Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "We are trying for Daniel. He has had a
hamstring injury so he is getting fit.
Phew. That feels good doesn't it? As the blur of a hangover subsides gradually but fairly gently I
must admit I'm still feeling pretty good, and struggling to unplaster the smile from my face. A
first win for the Reds in Derby since 1994, a first ever at Pride Park and a first double over the
Rams in 21 years [.
In the first of an occasional new series on football grounds that never quite came to be,
Ian King takes a look at an ambitious post-war scheme to move Derby County into a then-state of the
art stadium that came to nothing.
In 1997, Derby County left The Baseball Ground, their home of 102 years, for Pride Park.
Is nobody safe from Sav's Twitter attacks? Off The Post has found itself the subject of an unlikely
Twitter tirade from Robbie Savage this afternoon. The Derby County midfielder took exception to our
post suggesting that frustrated Rams fans were well within their rights to boo their side's during
the 0-0 draw with Millwall.
