It's ironically that since that 3-1 defeat to Thailand on Saturday, this blog recorded its biggest
viewership since its establishment as it surpassed the previous record set on 20th May 2009.
So as a basic courtesy, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all those folks who had flocked in
over the past few days that made it possible to this new record.

Three Tommies sat in a trench one day,
Discussing the war, in the usual way,
They talked of the mud, and they talked of the Hun,
Of what was to do, and what had been done,
They talked about rum, and – 'tis hard to believe –
They even found time to speak about leave.

Two home games, two home defeats, four goals conceded at home.
It's been a sorry start to the season for Persitara in their (latest) new home of Soemantri
Brojonegoro Stadium. The heavens opened as the fans left the stadium and heaven might be an
approriate place to start looking for inspiration as this current vintage seems to lack much of it
on the field.

Though the rain may have followed it's way over from Giants Stadium to Red Bull Arena, and the
sky was as gray as ever, it could not dampen nor cast a shadow on today's accomplishment. Ladies
and Gentlemen, say goodbye to plastic turf; the final piece of sod is in place, and the Red Bulls
Kentucky Blue Grass pitch is finally complete.

With J Hutcherson -- All in all, not the best weekend to be a fan of half the teams in Major League
Soccer. Whatever route was taken to disappointment in the final weekend of play, it's the same
basic point. In 2009, this is a circuit that can't put anybody over. Toronto can't play in the
rain. Dallas can't score enough.

Hey everyone, I'm settled in at a very rainy Toyota Park and the Fire and Chivas are almost set to
kick off their all-important match. The Fire will be looking for a win or a tie to clinch the
Eastern Conference's second seed in the upcoming playoffs but Chivas will be gunning for a win to
take the lead in the tightly-packed Western Conference.

That's right boys and girls it's time for your new favorite board game, La Liga Presents
Stealing the Stars.Â
The only game where all you have to do is make it rain Monopoly money on all of the other
contestants and in turn they give you their most coveted players.
Here's how the game works:Â
The first player to scream "La Liga" becomes the games main manager or president who we will
call, Mr.

The Crew outshot United 8-2 in front of 16,000 rain soaked fans last night at RFK Stadium.
None of The Massive's shots found the net.
Columbus, who needed the win to secure their second-straight Supporter's Shield, played as
sloppy as the marsh-like field. There was little spark to be found all night, and the few times The
Crew threatened to score the chance was squandered.

Today you take the field against the defending State Champion, a position you held proudly for 2
years. As with any match when we face LOSC it will be a battle. A hard fought, physical and
emotional war. The time is now for players to put aside their illness, their injuries, their
differences and unite.

I was going to write about this yesterday but...... (well, you don't have time for my saga of
yesterday.) Let's just say it involved lots of lost work and headaches...and some rain. I'm
down here in Atlanta and it's raining ALL the time.
Anyways, so when I saw that Salt Lake had won its match from Wednesday I was very, very
happy.

Fans of TPL side Chonburi are none too impressed after being told they would have to play their
final home game of the season against Thai Port in Bangkok at the Supachalasai Stadium.
This sanction was imposed after some Chonburi fans were alleged to have assaulted some members of
the media at a recent home game.

In the third poll of the season, Bolivar maintains their position at the top with no point
change but now Cassville has moved past Monett into the #2 spot. Both teams were scheduled to play
Greenwood this week which would have been a good measure but Cassville won't be making the drive to
Springfield today due to the rain.

Of course, I was a Phillies lover before, but after last night's top-of-the-9th heroics, how can
you not love that team? Bring on the Dodgers ... and let's have a repeat of last year! I went
to sleep thinking of my Dad, and how excited he'd have been (gave him a congratulatory phone call,
in my mind).

Thirty-two minutes into the Fire's 2009 home opener against the New York Red Bulls, Fire
midfielder Marco Pappa lit up a windswept, rain soaked Toyota Park crowd when he smashed a 20 yard
half volley off the post and into the back of the net. Pappa's goal - which would prove to be the
game winner - set the tone for a fantastic start to his 2009 campaign, and gave fans hope that the
21-year-old Guatemalan would emerge as the Fire's next big-time offensive threat.

Two teams who are in a must-win situation heading down a final stretch of games to progress. Two
teams that score massive goals in the second half giving hope to their home fans, cheering them on
in the cold, or, in the rain. Two teams that suffer crushing late equalizers, which seem to put
progress forever out their reach in the dying minutes of an unforgiven game, littered with wasted
chances.

The most spectacular thing of the whole night was the rain. Sheets of it. On a wet night in South
Manchester, United managed to find a bit of old skool fight to battle their way past a resilient,
yet unconvincing Wolfburg side. A deflected goal by Ryan Giggs and a sweet Michael Carrick finish
made sure [.

PERTH Glory have a pretty quick turnaround of five days until Friday's match against Newcastle
Jets.
But before we get into it, FP just wants to rant about something (don't worry he'll make his point
quickly).
Football in this country is not suffering because of the big things. We have pretty decent players,
a pretty good supporter base (though they are a bit afraid of the rain) and the competition,
especially this year, is extremely tight.

Ei Yoaan! Quoi de neuf?!! It looks like the rain really worked in
Bordeaux's favour last night as they held Juventus to a 1-1 draw at home. Amauri's Robin Hood bro,

the 75th minute and Plašil shot from point-blank range to earn the visitors one point.
