In the match played at Halchowk ground, Bishal Rai (Jersey no 9) and Karna Limbu scored in each
half as Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club beat Brigade Boys Club 2-0.
With the win, Jawalakhel moved to third from fifth place with 32 points while Brigade remained
constant in the 14th place.

KATHMANDU, July 6: Defending champion Nepal Police Club strengthened its grip at the top of the
Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division League on Wednesday with an impressive 4-1 haul over
departmental rival Nepal Army Club at the Dasharath Stadium.
With Wednesday´s win Police also extended its unbeaten run to 47 matches in the league.

into the second round of FIFA World Cup 2014 Asian Qualifiers on Saturday. Nepal scored an
impressive 5-0 win over East Timor in the second leg of qualifiers to win the first round of
two-leg qualifiers 7-1 in aggregate at the Dasharath Stadium.
Nepal ranked 148th in the world completely destroyed East Timro in the 2nd qualifying match by
scoring five unanswered goals. Nepal never really gave East Timor any chances and went to attack
from the very start. Correia fouled Jagjeet Shrestha in the 3rd minute inside the penalty box. The
resultant penalty was converted by Anil Gurung which put Nepal 1-0 ahead early in the match.

KATHMANDU, June 29: Ten-man Nepal created history by
winning a World Cup qualifying match at the home ground against East Timor 2-1 in the Asian
Qualifiers of 2014 FIFA World Cup held at Dasharath stadium on Wednesday.
Jumanu Rai and Anil Gurung scored the goals in 70th and 15th minutes for Nepal while the only goal
for East Timor was scored by Correia in the 48th minute.

Brigade Boys Club (BBC) 5-0 to achieve its first victory in six matches. Pukar Gahatraj and Dipak
Rai scored a brace each while Samuel Mobiru scored another for the top flight debutant.
Following the result, Sherpa strengthened its chances for the super league.
While remaining unbeaten in 12 matches in the current edition of the league, Police has also
extended its undefeated run in the league to 45 matches. The last time Police suffered defeated in
the league was in the second match of the second leg in 2063 BS. On that occasion Boys Union had
defeated Police 3-0 with two goals from Raju Rai.

Mahindra Bansbari FC 3-0 to move up to third place in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League on
Monday. The day also saw wins for Friends Club and Brigade Boys Club (BBC) from the same district.
FIFA World Cup™ winner Rai has backed fellow Brazilian Lucas to win over his critics at
Liverpool. Midfielder Lucas has been a regular for the Reds since 2007 but often finds his ability
questioned by fans and the media.
However, Liverpool managers Rafael Benitez, Roy Hodgson and now Kenny Dalglish all have shown
enough faith in the former Gremio man to give him regular starts, and 1994 FIFA World Cup captain
Rai believes he will eventually convince others of his ability.
