Que dulce! Valencia kept to their promise to the fans last night and
held Barca to a 1-1 draw with a 27th minute screamer from Jonas. Part of the promise was to play
their best and not lose in front of the home fans, so this result is significantly better than a
loss.

Glendenning on Twitter Good news: for any of you who may have been concerned by murmurings from the
ATP Tour that Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick may be about to lead a
players' revolt and set up picket lines around tennis courts around the globe.
Reigning US Open champion Rafael Nadal got into a bit of bother as he cramped up at the

I want to take this opportunity to inform our newest readers that not only can this site be
blunt at times, but there may be sparse usage of profanity as well.
I'm certain some people find this outrageous or just off-putting and that's ok. This is simply
my way of saying this blog is probably not for you, and it might be best to unsubscribe.

He got her tickets for an Arsenal game, she got him some damn good seats for Wimbledon (but was
shockingly knocked out earlier this week). In all honestly, we don't know what the dilly between
Nicklas Bendtner and Caroline Wozniacki is, Kickettes, other than they were recently seen out
grabbing some grub with platonic pals.
It's a long way from the council estates of Huyton to the lush terrain of southern Portugal where
Steven Gerrard spends his summers these days.
The 31-year-old's remarkable journey has been fuelled by talent - a talent which has earned him
fame and fortune.
Now, as he follows Jamie Carragher into the period of his career when his name will often be
preceded by the word veteran, Gerrard has decided to use those two assets to help children whose
backgrounds are not so different from his own, but whose fate has not been blessed in the same way.
Unlike the rest of the world, my calendar doesn't run from January to December: it starts
in August and ends in May.
The last game of the season is like Christmas day: the party you've all been building up to.
The Champions League final and the Play Offs are that little bit of extra excitement: like New
Years Eve.

mundial.

The powers of fate will look upon the masses of match previews as one collective jinx, but as
far as European football goes, it does not get bigger than this. Sure, the winner of the Coca-Cola
Championship playoff will go on to receive a payoff the size of which the likes of Rupert Murdoch
have not (yet)* seen, but as far as the weighing scale entertainment potential goes, we are at our
sport's zenith.
