If Colombian media is to be believed, Faryd Mondragon is set to made a dramatic return to the
country to end his career.
Golcarcol is reporting that Deportivo Cali has begun discussions to bring Mondragon back to the
team. Deportivo is the team with which Mondragon began his career, which now spans over two
decades, during the 1990-91 season.
For the first time in five years we have now lost three Premiership matches in a
row.
I am starting this story now Tuesday evening the 17th where the thoughts of last nights radio
conversation on Talksports Drivetime between Adrian Durham and Ray Parlour are still fresh in my
mind.
John Terry's bulge takes a hit from a schoolboy. That's precious cargo, son! Watch where you're

There's a rumour going around that Pepe (of all people) just came out of the closet on a French
radio show. Sounds like complete BS to us because A) why French radio?
Remember when Brad Friedel made those comments about Landon Donovan? Well, today is the day
Donovan can make his former teammate eat those words.
Donovan and Friedel are set to square off on Wednesday afternoon when Everton visits Tottenham
in a game American fans have been salivating over ever since Donovan agreed to a loan deal with
Everton.

The Philadelphia Union are negotiating with Deportivo Saprissa over a transfer for Josue

Rican soccer news outlet everardoherrera.com picked up on reports from the United States about

As part of its sponsorship of Liverpool Football Club, Standard Chartered Bank is offering a once
in a lifetime opportunity for one boy and one girl.
Our lucky winners, accompanied by their parent or guardian, will travel to the UK and be a
Liverpool FC mascot, walking out with the team on two match days in February 2012.
Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has attacked a small section of the club's fans fans for
showing 'open dissent' towards manager Kenny Dalglish after the Swansea game at the weekend.
Fans were reportedly booing at Anfield on Saturday after Liverpool were played off the park, and
during Collymore's radio show on that night, there were a few very irate fans (Liverpudlians, it
should be added), who were vehemently castigating Dalglish for his perceived failings.
Late Thursday, the Philadelphia Union announced that SportsRadio 610 WIP would broadcast 17 of
the team's 2012 matches live on the radio. Those of you who read the match previews will note that
this is something PSP has been pushing for as strongly as passive aggression allows.
The details are not all in, but here is what we know:
- 17 games will be broadcast on WIP
- They may be home games, they may be away games.
John Henry gave Liverpool fans a glimpse of his tough, uncompromising side yesterday when he
marched into a radio station unannounced to defend himself and the Boston Red box against what he
described as 'misleading' accusations against the team.Henry was driving around Boston listening to
a 98.
Everyone needs to rush over to www.miamiultras.com to check out The latest and greatest version of
Miami Ultras Alive. South Florida's only unprofessional soccer radio show that you can listen to
every Monday night at 10PM. Last night we had a great show covering the USA vs Honduras game in
Miami and the Fort Lauderdale Strikers victory over the Puerto Rico Islanders in the NASL playoff
semifinals.
Jack Wilshere will be sidelined for up to two months due to his ankle injury. Wilshere has just
tweeted: "I can confirm I will be out for around 2-3 months! I am working hard in the gym to stay
fit and I am gutted but I will be back stronger!"
Both Sky Sports and the Beeb had been reporting that Arsenal have confiemd the Sunday Mirror
story this morning that the 19-year-old will be out for a lengthy spell.
I was invited back onto the American Radio Show World Football Daily yesterday to discuss
everything Chelsea from the lack of movement in the transfer market, the new manager, pre season,
formation and who will feature in the managers plans.
Also about current rumours, Essien's injury, the future of Lampard, Drogba and Anelka, if AVB can
get the best out of Torres, beating Barcelona in the Champions League and finally a top four
prediction for this season.
Nick Garcia when he was training with Sporting KC Earlier in the week on Callum Williams radio show
on 610 I mentioned that Nick Garcia was no longer with the team. Manager Peter Vermes had confirmed
that he was not with the team and had said there was "no mechanism for bringing him onto the team".
I understood that to mean that with Garcia's veteran status and the required salary and contract
Quick update for you tonight on former Wizards. As mentioned on the Sporting KC radio show on

The moment has arrived. Its gloomy, it is Saturday, and the transfer news is slow. What to do? I
popped out for a thoughtful cigarette, and I believe, came up with a brilliant idea.
Most of us will know of Desert Island Discs. For those who don't, it is a radio show where
guests are invited to take one or two things to keep them company on said desert island.

News broken on a late-night Catalunya radio station yesterday is a report that Barcelona F.C. have
reached a preliminary agreement with Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, Sport.es (English Translation
via Google Translate) says. The radio show ...
You may or may not have an interest in cricket, but I highly recommend a BBC radio show from
this week for a listen to anyone interested in learning more about a taboo subject in the sporting
world: depression, something that afflicts men and women in every sport but is too rarely talked
about in a mature fashion.
Whether you are a fan of Jim Rome or not, his influence on the American sports world is undeniable.
He has a daily 3-hour national sports talk radio show and a half-hour TV show on ESPN,
Rome is
Burning (He is reportedly leaving ESPN and taking his show with him to CBS). His style is
different than other personalities in that he references his followers as 'clones' and what they
have to say as 'takes.
Looking back on the past nine months of Bundesliga football, it somehow seems as if I found myself
on a radio show or a podcast every other week, yet could rarely say anything more substantial than
how unbelievable it all was. But that's what it was like, week in and week out, as Europe's most
unpredictable league proved once more why some people love it and others are frustrated by it.
We start our weekly review of everything soccer in South Florida, with our also weekly Blog Talk
Radio show called Miami Ultras Alive hosted by Pieter Brown and yours truly, Uncle Ed. The show has
now been extended to one hour and will be moved starting next Monday to 10 pm. This will happen
every week until you get tired of us.
Following the Houston Dynamo's 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps this past Sunday, I caught
a bit of Glenn Davis' post-match radio show in which he made some comments indicating he was pretty
certain there would be some Dynamo roster changes before the close of the MLS transfer window.
Apparently, Davis made a few other comments earlier this week that got the folks at Dynamo Theory
and SBNation to start snooping around.
My predictions were made early this week to allow them to feature on The Commentary Box radio show
on Monday (available for download now.)
Last Sunday evening I saw the results going this way:
Aberdeen v Kilmarnock: 2-2
Hearts v Dundee United: 2-0
Inverness v St Johnstone: 1-2
Motherwell v Hamilton: 0-0
Has anything changed?
One is the favourite to be the new Crystal Palace manager, the other is a round-headed
idiot made famous by the Ricky Gervais radio show...and it just so happens that they look a
like.
Coppell has been out of a job since quitting football management after a poor start to the
2010-11 season with Bristol City, he said:
I found I could not become passionate about the role and give the commitment the position
demands.
