Carlos Bocanegra and Racing Santander visit red hot Girona on Saturday and attempt to continue their rise from the bottom of the Spanish Segunda Division.

New Tottenham Hotspur signing Clint Dempsey has been included in Jurgen Klinsmann's squad for
the home and home games with Jamaica.
Dempsey has to be nowhere near match fitness after missing Fulham's opening games as he tried to
force through his eventful transfer to Spurs.
But with Landon Donovan and Michael Bradley missing from the squad due to injury, Klinsmann had
no choice to include Dempsey, and also Carlos Bocanegra who went through a similar situation with
Rangers, in his 25-man squad.

The new USMNT roster has just been announced only minutes ago. Sean Johnson has again been
called up, which is great news for Fire and USMNT fans. He has earned his spot on the team with his
hard works and goal play, and Jurgen is rewarding him for it. This squad will be facing Jamaica,
not once, but twice back to back for World Cup Qualifying.

With only hours left in the transfer window, U.S. international Clint Dempsey finally got his
wish as Fulham agreed to a deal with Tottenham on a £6 million move. The deal came after a few
agonizing weeks saw Dempsey consistently rumored in moves to Liverpool and Arsenal, among
others.
The 29-year-old American's desire to move to Anfield fell through today after a £4 million
offer from the Reds was outbid by Aston Villa.

Unsurprisingly Barcelona and Real Madrid dominated Spanish football in 2012. Barca accumulated over 100 points, whilst Real Madrid were ten points behind their bitter rivals. Interestingly during 2012 Valencia and Rayo Vallecano picked up the same number of points as each other, however Valencia drew 10 of their games, Vallecano drew just one a goalless game with Sevilla in September.
Welcome to Spain's Segunda Division, currently home of several clubs you might remember from stints
in the topflight. Alongside the B teams of Barcelona and Real Madrid, we find Sporting Gijon,
Villarreal, and Racing Santander. Why Are We Here? The captain of the United States National Team
chose to stay with Rangers, even after the club was relegated to Scotland's Third Division.
Mayhem continues to reign at Racing Santander as coach Juan Carlos Unzue and Director of
Football Manolo Saiz look set to be axed from the club.
Unzue and Saiz both signed contracts with the Racing club earlier this summer on June 22, with
Saiz agreeing to stay at the club in his Director of Football role for another three years.
Tottenham Hotspur youngster Giovani Dos Santos is closing in on his protracted exit from the
club and is likely to join a La Liga club by the end of the weekend.
Dos Santos, 23, has made a total of 30 appearances across all competitions during his unsettled
four seasons with the Spurs.
Despite scoring three goals and assisting on another three during that time period, the Mexican
starlet never quite held a regular place in Tottenham's squad.
