Three simple questions: New York Red Bulls

No Short Corners 19 November @ 05:19 AM EST
Yeah, we had to do this one sooner or later. And being the Empire Supporters Club die-hard that he is, my former American Soccer Daily co-hort Jason Endres found a way to make the "What went right?" answer as long as the "What went wrong?" answer. But ya know what... that's New Yawk, baby. Now put the Strokes' cut Someday on and read. Click to continue reading...

The Henry Heist gives us 31 flavors

No Short Corners 18 November @ 05:34 PM EST
It will be talked about for a long time: a World Cup berth "handed" to France. Thierry's Henry helping hand assist (and a blown offside call) teed up William Gallas for the extra time clincher to leave Ireland feeling backhanded...... but that was hardly the only drama on hand.Earlier, Algeria, Greece and Slovenia procured invites to South Africa via upsets, with Portugal closing out a tidy sweep Click to continue reading...

RSL to Meet the Galaxy For The MLS Cup!

Soccer Tickets Online 15 November @ 09:23 AM EST

1 for 2 isn't bad when you're picking Soccer matches and last night the boys from Salt Lake came through and defeated the Fire 5-4 in Penalty Kicks. I'd take total credit for picking this one, but RSL didn't manhandle the Fire like I thought they would, but now I think we something else we need to discuss concerning the two teams who will vie for the MLS cup this season.

Captain Terry-bull Sing Along Post

That's On Point 09 November @ 10:00 AM EST
It's weird, isn't it, that the same player could be hailed as both "Lionheart" and the "Bionic Woman" in the same breath? Maybe it's not so strange if that player is John Terry. On the one hand, if you're English -- particularly in the media -- you have to love Terry's grit and even if you hate Chelsea, he is sorta the captain of the National Team, after all.
