Former Fire forward/midfielder Chris Rolfe has kindly agreed to take some time out of his
schedule to answer some questions from you guys.
I'm guessing Chris will have a good deal to say about his new situation at Danish club Aalborg
BK (where the season will resume in the beginning of March), life in Europe, the manner in which
his Fire career ended, and much more, so ask away.
Former Fire defender Bakary Soumare was kind enough to take some time to answer some of your
questions. Here are his responses:
First, we miss you and it's no surprise that you are starting now. What do you miss most
about Chicago and your teammates? What are the most fun and most challenging parts of being with
your new squad?
Always stylish former Fire defender Bakary Soumare has graciously agreed to answer some
questions from you guys.
I'm guessing the 24-year-old Soumare, who transferred from the Fire to French Ligue 1 side
Boulogne back in August, will have a good deal to say about his time at Boulogne (where he has
become entrenched in the starting lineup), the dismissal of Denis Hamlett (who he infamously fought
with at halftime of his final game with the Fire), and much more, so ask away.
Good morning and welcome to the latest installment of Your Questions Answered. Although the
questions answered in this segment were from a month ago, most of the issues covered in them are
still the issues being discussed today.
Such as? You have Landon Donovan's time at Bayern, David Beckham's MLS play, Jonathan Spector's
prospects as the national team left back and how will Bobby Convey do in MLS.
Good afternoon and welcome to the Snowstorm Edition of Your Questions Answered. If you're fresh
from shoveling some snow, or stuck at work wondering how the drive home will be, you probably need
something to help pass the time.
With that in mind, here is the first installment of the answers from the most recent SBI
Q&A.

Hello all. It is that time again. Time for you to fire your soccer-related questions my way and
time for me to take two months to answer them.
Okay, so I'm kidding about that last part. A little. There will be a slight change to the Q&A, a
change I am hoping will lead to a much quicker turnaround time on answering your questions.
If you were starting to wonder when the rest of the most recent Q&A session would be done (and
by most recent I mean New Year's Day), I can't say that I blame you.
Good afternoon folks. For those of you who have taken a break from all the inauguration coverage
(or a break from work), here are the answers to (most of) the rest of your post-draft
questions.
The 2009 MLS Draft has come and gone and while it didn't boast the myriad of trades we thought
there would be, there was still plenty of action.
For those of you who haven't seen it, here is my piece on ESPN.com on some of the deals that
almost took place. Also, here is my ESPN.com piece with the MLS Draft grades for all 15 teams.
Good evening folks. We're less than half a day away from the 2009 MLS Draft and you all have
plenty of questions heading into the event. Here are some of those questions answered:
----------------------------
MZ- Who pays for players to attend and stay at the combine and attend and stay
at the mls draft?

Hello all. It is the last day of 2008 and it feels like the perfect opportunity
to have the final Q&A of the year, especially since one of my New Year's resolutions is to not take
so long to complete the Q&As.
It has been six weeks since our last Q&A, meaning there are plenty of fresh topics to
discuss.

Good afternoon all and welcome to the latest installment of Your Questions Answered. This is the
fifth and final chapter of the most recent Q&A session (and yes, by recent I mean six weeks ago).
It took a while (a long while) but it's finally done.
There are a lot of expansion questions in this batch, as well as questions about
promotion/relegation (yes, unfortunately) as well as an Eddie Johnson question (and yes, that's him
against Manchester United last year.

Good afternoon folks. As you can tell, it's been a bit of a slow news period. That doesn't mean
we won't be able to provide you with some good reading material and updates on both MLS and
European soccer as they become available.

Hello all. It's time for the latest installment of Your Questions Answered. There are still a
bunch of questions to be answered from the November Q&A, but I'm hoping to knock them out all this
week.

Hello all and welcome to the newest installment of Your Questions Answered, where I provide
answers to your soccer-related questions.
We had another record-setting number of questions, but I think I will be able to respond to them
all more quickly than the past few Q&A sessions so stay tuned for all the installments.
The team is back in D.C. for about a week between pre-season trips. Most recently, the guys were
in Puerto Rico and on Thursday the team heads to Charleston, SC to participate in the Carolina
Challenge Cup - along with Toronto FC, Real Salt lake and the USL-1 Charleston Battery. We caught
up Santino Quaranta to get his thoughts on pre-season so far and how the team is coming
along.
Yesterday, we officially announced that Mr. Santino Quaranta had signed a new contract with the
Black-and-Red. The 24-year old returned to United, after dealing with a much-publicized drug
addiction, and put together the most impressive season of his eight-year career. I caught up with
Tino earlier today to ask him about the new contract and his expecations for 2009 (and also found
out more about the upcoming addition to the Quaranta family!
D.C. United midfielder/defender Ivan Guerrero has had a busy off-season. He has been training
with the Honduras National Team since the beginning of the year in preparation for the UNCAF Cup, a
tournament for Central American National Teams that will take place in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from
January 22 to February 1.
Things are wrapping up here in St. Louis, but before I depart for the airport I wanted to pass
along a few interview excerpts from Head Coach Tom Soehn and GM Dave Kasper on the draft. We'll
have plenty more tomorrow, including some video from today's event. General Manager Dave
KasperBTB: What was your overall impression of how the draft went?
Here's the promised Q&A with both of United's first round draft picks. Rodney had to split for the
airport after all of his interviews to catch a flight back to Maryland, while Chris is still taking
in the draft sporting his United scarf and hat. D.C. United sixth overall pick Rodney
WallaceBTB: What was it like hearing your named called?
What a week for Q&As here at Behind The Badge! Yesterday, we briefly caught up with Marc Burch
to ask him about his new contract, the off-season and his memories from being drafted back in
2006.
BTB: How is your off-season going? "It's going well. I had minor knee surgery so I've been
doing rehab.
With the MLS SuperDraft just a week away, we sat down with General Manager Dave Kasper and asked
about the technical staff's preparation and perspective. With the sixth and seventh picks overall
(and three more in later rounds), the club has the opportunity to pick up some solid prospects. The
last time D.
