Gopher soccer freshman Taylor Uhl was selected Freshman of the Week by the Big Ten for the second
time this season. Uhl had one goal, two assists in her 4-point weekend playing against Indiana and
Purdue. Uhl has 23 points on the season which is good for sixth all time for a freshman at the
University [.
Coming off a disappointing weekend, the University of Wisconsin women's soccer team bounced back
in a big way.
The Badgers had five players score in a 5-1 rout of Purdue in a Big Ten Conference match Friday
night at the McClimon Complex, their best offensive output in more than three years.
Colorado dropped its second straight 1-0 game, falling to Purdue in the first match of the
Illini/Boilermaker Cup.
Purdue was coming off a three-game losing streak, but opened the game with a great scoring
chance. The Boilermakers tested Colorado's defense early, when they put a header on goal after a
corner kick, but CU's defense cleared it for a team save.
