We're a bit in the doldrums here at Arsenal Arsenal. At the moment we're still numb from
the defeat on Sunday and finding it hard to be upbeat and forward thinking. Our twin posts today
are in celebration of the return of Thierry Henry. Hopefully our bloggers will come out from behind
the sofa and remember the positives of this season so far, but don't let that stop you commenting
on where we go from here.
We did a double take at the Mourinho doppelgänger to Sergio's right.
Ask us to tell you about a Davis Cup and we can't. What we can speak with authority on is
Sergio Ramos, stereotypes and his tucked-in salmon button shirt.
For an entire year we filed him under our "those guys" grouping.
An ice age ago Arsenal played their last game, would I be correct in thinking we beat WBA? And
our last away fixture was .... remind me?
Before the Interlull
Very excited to see us back playing Norwich. Lovely town, good beer and pubs, beautiful
countryside.
Why foreign dishes are a recipe for saving Britain's pubs and there must have been a
misprint on Joorabchian's conference invite
So, European courts looked at the issue of pubs showing Premier League games beamed in from
abroad and acted appropriately. Like visible studs in a tackle and a striker's advantage in an
off-side situation, no one understands the ruling.

The result, in the end, was something approaching an honorable draw, which both sides of this
particular argument will now likely try to claim as a victory. The Premier League vs Karen Murphy
had gone to the European Court of Justice to try and determine how the concept of a single European
market weighs up against the country by country rights selling system which, amongst many, many
others, the Premier League uses to sell coverage of its matches.
Some Manchester City fans are still intent on pushing the "Manchester is blue" myth to anyone
who will listen, despite compelling evidence to the contrary. United have had higher attendances
than City every single season since the 1940s, regardless of which club was the most successful at
the times.
The US isn't exactly known for its soccer fans but with the World Cup last year viewership is on
the rise. Even though you may have a www.direct.tv satellite package that gets you all the games at
home you might want to venture out to one of the country's best soccer pubs if any are nearby. Here
are three of our favorites.
Why football fans won't lose any sleep over writing off of Lamps, JT and Stevie

There's been plenty of talk about England writing off old players like Frank Lampard, John Terry
and Steven Gerrard as they look to the future. But nobody is sure how badly it will go down.
Today we're excited to announce a new series on the Free Beer Movement. It's called "Brews and
Views" and we pose a question or topic to various prominent soccer persons and, well, they give us
their view on it.
We've got loads of get people that have already responded to our call for essay submissions and
each week we'll feature a unique perspective on the current topic/question at hand.
Engineers build things, economists study efficiency, and kids who live above pubs learn a lot about
soccer. These three backgrounds are the source of Arsene Wenger's managerial success at Arsenal. He
builds clubs, finds players from every corner of...

Last week, MLSsoccer.com announced the formation of a new Fans section. The welcome letter to
fans describes this initiative here's an excerpt:
Over the last decade, you have embraced Major League Soccer and created the most unique fan
experience in North America. Each week, you unfurl your tifo displays, you sing your love songs to
the players, you organize and attend watch parties, and you launch a thousand discussions at the
watercooler, on the web, and just about anywhere people are talking social media.

A 20 year old Liverpool will be remembered for this Saturday's Champions League Final between
Manchester United and Barcelona. Patrick Robinson from Co. Carlow died suddenly in
his local pub Scraggs Alley on May 25 2005, after his team won the Champions League in a epic
penalty shoot-out against AC Milan.
If there is a finer pub in Liverpool than the Swan let me know. It is definitely one of the best.
I'm a little late putting up these picture's because it took me that long to recover. The Strikers
held their first Pub Crawl which helped fans and staff reach out to soccer fans that support
European teams. We met up with Newcastle, Celtic and all sorts of casual followers of the beautiful
game.
The schedule was to cover 3 pubs in the Broward/Palm Beach County areas closer to Lockhart Stadium.
Do you know what a "Pub Crawl" is? Well, if you've ever been "Club Hopping" before it's the same
concept except this starts at 9:30 AM and involves going to Pubs, watching the best Soccer in the
world and drinking beer!
The Fort Lauderdale Strikers invite you their first ( And I hope not last) Pub Crawl!
I'm not a member of the Vancouver Southsiders, but if you're looking to join a passionate group of
Whitecaps fans, the Southsiders are an excellent supporters group. I recently received a couple of
emails from the Southsiders president informing me of the official home and away pubs. So if you're
looking to watch some Whitecaps matches in a pub with a great atmosphere, the pubs below are the
places to be.
It hasn't been a very good couple of weeks for those that would seek to make us pay through the
nose to watch football on the television. The Karen Murphy court case, which was heard at the
European Court of Justice a couple of weeks ago, blew away the idea that pubs should be tied into
Sky's packages if they can buy cheaper elsewhere (at least until the next round of television
contracts, when it is expected that they will sold Europe-wide) and today the European Union stood
in defence of consumers again with the rejection of a claim by FIFA and UEFA that they should be
able to sell off the rights to some matches within tournaments.
