La Femexfut ha sacado una nueva modalidad de torneo, se llama la Copa México en la cual equipos
de liga de Ascenso antes Primera A enfrentaran a equipos de primera división, muy al estilo de la
copa del Rey española. En total son 28 equipos y así han quedado.
En la Fase de Grupos serán seis partidos de ida y vuelta con modalidad de llave y al ganador de
la llave se le asignará un punto adicional y los primeros clasificados jugarán Octavos de Final a
un sólo partido.
