Bolton manager Owen Coyle confirms Sebastien Le Toux is trialing with the Premiership club. "We
have received good reports about Sebastian, so we thought we would give him an opportunity to come
into the group," Coyle told the Daily Mirror. "He will train with us for a week and we will see
where we are after that.
With Spurs about to take on Swansea on New Year's Eve, media attention has focussed on Steven
Caulker, Tottenham's on loan centre half who has contributed to the mean defence that has done much
to stabilise the Swans' first Premiership campaign.
Caulker is unavailable for the match due to Premier League rules but yesterday Harry Redknapp
indicated that he believes the player can have a big future at the Lane,
"I've got big plans for this boy when he returns from his loan spell at Swansea in the summer,"
Harry said.
I am a big fan of Huntelaar and i still cannot understand why Milan let him go! Despite rescuing
Milan on a number of occasions in the 2009/2010 season, Huntelaar was regularly used a substitute
for the Rossoneri something that eventually led to his move to the Bundesliga.
The Dutch international has gone onto establish himself as a goal scoring machine for Schalke
this season scoring 15 goals in 16 appearances for the German club.
Channel 5 is not engulfed in self congratulatory happiness at the prospect of showing Man Utd
matches in the Europa Cup.
The Premiership club might lost out to the RN Caribbean patrol which documents the travels and
travails of HMS Manchester waging war against the drug smugglers in the Caribbean.
It seems as though the likelihood of Joe Cole securing a permanent exit from Liverpool is growing,
as Lille striker Moussa Sow has outlined the impact that the 30 year-old loanee has had in
France.
Cole is halfway through a season-long spell in France with the Ligue 1 champions and has impressed
greatly over the 17 matches he has featured in across all competitions.
Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt is expected to leave Anfield with Italian giants Inter Milan reportedly
interest.
According to reports in Italian publication Mediaset, Inter failed with a move for the Dutch
international 18 months ago, but Kuyt has dropped down the pecking order at Liverpool with Andy
Carroll and Luis Suarez now ahead of him.
Few players have what it takes to make the grade at Arsenal; Henri Lansbury is not of those.
Talent alone is not enough to succeed at Arsenal, as JET will unhappily testify. It requires the
right attitude as well, a delicate combination of passion, determination, self-belief and
patience.
The news that Henri Lansbury has signed a new contract strengthens my belief that he possesses
all these qualities.

Manchester United are one of the most dominant footballing forces in the world. Since the
Premier League began back in the 1992-93 season, The Red Devils have won the prestigious title a
total of 12 times – more than any other Premiership club. Another impressive statistic is the
fact that they've never finished outside the top-4.
Disappointed Lincoln City fans.
This article was written by Adam Barlow.
Anybody who regularly watches the Premier League will be well aware of the pressure to stay there,
the money, revenues and the prestige that go with being a Premiership club. Chairmen of clubs that
are threatened with relegation are often quoted as saying how much it will cost their respective
clubs should they drop down to the Championship.
Losing two important players already in the summer transfer market, Aston Villa, finally started
to rebuild their team and the goal keeper position is the first area which they decided to start by
signing Shay Given from Manchester City.
The Republic of Ireland international goalie is always being considered as one of the best
keepers in the premiership and acquiring him is believed to be a great piece of business for
Villa.
Non-league football is often marketed as a low cost alternative to the Premier League but,
as Paul Eke writes, that might not always be as accurate as we might think.
Anyone who read my recent TwoHundredPerCent paean to Redheugh Park will have realised that
Gateshead Football Club is something close to my heart.
With this series InTheStands asses and predicts the transfermations (Transfers /
transformations) that each Premiership club will go through during the summer...starting with
Arsenal.
Where they stand:
After a disappointing conclusion to their season, Arsenal must use their pre-season and the
increased financial support from Stan Kroenke to fortify a young and under-experienced squad.
Alex McLeish had 5 seasons in charge of Glasgow Rangers. He only won the SPL twice. That's a
failure.
His four-year tenure at Birmingham City may have been crowned by League Cup glory in February,
but it cannot hide two relegations in four years. That's a failure.
He nearly guided Scotland to the World Cup but, at the end of the day, that campaign ended in
failure too.
Blackbum may rule the roost with him in charge
Carlo Ancelotti successfully removed the clause that stipulates he cannot be employed by another
Premiership club by agreeing to a smaller severance amount. The Italian humiliated by Chelsea's
crass gesture shows his serious intent to continue coaching in England counting redemption as one
of his motives.
Perhaps it is because Romanticism eludes any attempt at a concise definition that it has
become a term so freely tossed into the melting pot of football criticism and punditry.
Like all great modern ideas (some say all great modern ideas are Romantic, but it's probably
best to ignore that debate for now), Romanticism's is an osmotic essence, or lack thereof; it
affirms the boldest of concrete thoughts in the most wild and wildly paradoxical ways.
Earlier this week the Guardian Data Blog published financial data for the English Premier
League. They chose to go with the obvious story about how in debt the clubs are (and it's true, it
doesn't look good) while others have decided to look at the relationship between wins and wages
(also true, there is a correlation between the two).
