The English FA will meet with national team manager Fabio Capello after rising tensions over the
dismissal of John Terry as captain threatens to fracture an already tenuous relationship between
the two sides.
Capello has been very outspoken in his disagreement with the FA's decision to strip Terry of the
captain's armband after the defender's racism trial was delayed until July.

2012 will see the inaugural Premier League Soccer competition take place in India. It follows in
the footsteps of the hugely successful Indian Premier League cricket competition which began in
2008 and has now run for four seasons.
Like an outdated fantasy league auction, the new Premier League Soccer featuring six teams based
in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal bid for the rights to sign several "icon" players."
Hernan Crespo, who scored nine goals for Parma last season, drew the highest bid and went for
$840,000 (£536,000) at the sprightly age of 36.

from local kids in Phnom Penh on January 9th. Image: STR/AFP/Getty Images.
We're not going to get wrapped in the complexities of the newly founded Premier League Soccer
tournament in India for two reasons.

"F**king kick him, you ponce" Peter Reid, bringing the beautiful game to the
India
Trying to break the massive, all-conquering hold cricket has on India ain't gonna be easy, but
the organisers of the new Indian Premier League Soccer tournament are doing their best to get the
locals interested by getting a number of ex-greats involved.

By Jason Davis - WASHINGTON, DC (Jan 19, 2011) US Soccer Players -- Fox, the national broadcast
network that counts iconic properties like The Simpsons and the National Football League among its
assets, blazed a new trail by airing a live English Premier League soccer match on Sunday. Soccer
getting the full televised sports treatment on a network that isn't an opt-in premium purchase, but
a basic part of most Americans' television rotation, cannot be.

Last year the Indian Football Association announced it would be launching Premier League Soccer

Wow, that's really all I can say about yesterdays match between United and City in English Premier
League. Manchester teams went against each other and boy did City come off victorious. The match
was definitely most awaitened match this season in Premier League soccer, and it delivered. Fantasy
soccer wise, it was also a lot better than expected.
Despite the luxuries afforded to professional footballers, and athletes in general, there are
certain drawbacks. Like the simple fact that being human is done so in the public eye, as is the
case for their family members as well.
Wayne Rooney is, as we all know, more human than most. Turns out it's a family thing.
The King is Dead ( well, injured ) Long live the King!
The biggest shock in this week of premiership soccer was that Wayne Rooney (the aformentioned King)
didn't play due to a injury acquired from practice. And boy did that show. Of course everyone knew
that Stoke as a host wouldn't be giving anything for free, and in a way the Manchester United
players were lucky to get even the one pt that they got.
Football is great, fantasy soccer exciting, but some gameweeks you just wish you could forget as
quick as you can. I've already had my share of those this season, as it seems my football team has
faced it all: injuries, red cards, missed penalties... You name it, my make believe soccer team has
done it.

Fulham 1-1 Blackburn Rovers Premier League 11 September 2011
Steve Kean's Blackburn Rovers picked up their first point of the new season at Craven Cottage,
courtesy of a superb strike from Ruben Rochina on 32 minutes. The creator of that goal, David
Hoillet (one of the few Canadians playing at a high level), would have to be stretchered off later
on, after clashing with Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer.
Here's the space where we come to bury Arsene Wenger, to piss on his 15-year tenure in charge of
Arsenal, to question if the persnickety Frenchman has any clue whatsoever. Actually, as much fun as
it is to delight in the failures and foibles of Wenger, let's get a little perspective for a second
-- yeah, admittedly not as fun.
BOGOTA – I checked off a "global first" this morning: I watched English Premier League Soccer
from Colombia.
Oh, have I mention that I am in Colombia?
I arrived last night, got some shut-eye then hopped up for food and EPL on the tele down at the
breakfast bar.
Despite a disappointing draw on the first day of the season, Liverpool Football Club embarks upon a
new Premier League campaign, revitalized both on and off the pitch. With the Hicks-Gillette era now
firmly in the past, new owners, Fenway Sports Group appear to have dramatically altered the club's
fortunes.
Liverpool will set up a youth academy in Indonesia, their first outside Europe, as the Premier
League soccer side seek to increase their global commercial presence, the club said on Friday.
Working with the British Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, Liverpool aim to train children in the
world's fourth most populous country, which is soccer-mad but has yet to see its national team
succeed at an international level.
Geoff Gibson, Managing Editor of SB Nation's Portland Timbers blog
Stumptown Footy, joined me to talk about tomorrow's match between the Philadelphia Union and the
Timbers.
Portland is 3-0-0 in MLS play at home. Can it attributed to JELD-WEN's
minimalistic dimensions?
Geoff Gibson: Jeld-Wen isn't actually as small as some make it out to be.
Whether you're a lover of Premier League soccer, or you prefer a more well-rounded mix of
international soccer, today's schedule of matches is attractive enough to entice any soccer
fan.
Consider this list of match-ups today:
Borussia Dortmund-Hannover 96, FC Twente-PSV Eindhoven, AC Milan-Inter Milan and
Villarreal-Barcelona.
