frigging March.
Here in Indonesia they have just released the fixtures for the second tier Indonesia Premier League
which kicks off on 25 November.
One is four months in advance, the other two weeks.

Google has added a new feature to its Calendar product that allows registered users to subscribe
to a free list of upcoming fixtures for any of the 20 Premier League clubs. That's great news for
football supporters, but it may be a thorn in the side for the Premier League and another issue
that will add considerable strain to the relationship between the league and the technology company
(the Premier League sued YouTube, now owned by Google, in May 2007).

We can argue all day and night about our inability to keep a tight defensive line against big
imposing set piece specialists, we can discuss the fact that beating Bolton shouldn't be such a
tall order until the cows come home but I would rather take great delight in the fighting spirit

The fixtures for the 2009-2010 season have been released, and Sir Alex Ferguson should be happy.
The fixture computer must have applied a "Fergie Filter" to reduce the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson
fuming about how the fixtures are in favour of other teams except his own. This season, they seem
to have it about right.

The 2009/10 fixtures have been released this morning, and they see us open up with a game against
Blackburn. The opening game was scheduled to be Everton the following Wednesday, but their
involvement in Europe now sees Wolves become the first visitors of the season.
First glance at them suggests it is not the toughest opening ten games, so there is a real
opportunity to get off to a decent start.

The Premier League kicks off on Saturday, 15th August 2009 with Tottenham taking on Liverpool at
White Hart Lane and Everton hosting Arsenal the pick of the fixtures on the opening weekend. The

It doesn't look good does it? Brought off at half-time whilst trailing at home to Tottenham
which rather ironically then helps spark that tremendous comeback. I can understand why he
wouldn't be desperate to stay behind and encourage his teammates but it was hardly the wisest of
choices to make and it's difficult to defend a quite childish, sulky and rather petty reaction to
yet another below-par individual performance.
