As he pauses a moment in the contemplation of why most of his goals are scored two at a time, Bojan
wants everyone to excuse our lack of updates lately, and hopes that we can get things back on track
during this international break! We'll have to do without the match report for Barca's 5-0 trumping
of Cultural Leonesa, but here is the match-related aftermath.

First off, a happy Eid to all who celebrate it, and particularly to Barca's muslim players, Keita,
Yaya and Abidal! Right now we're running late and you'll have to excuse us the match report for
Barca-Atletico; but we've rounded up all the post-match tidbits:
- This was the fiftieth Liga match for Gerard Pique (having played 27 with Barca, 23 with Zaragoza)
and he played hella great.

The team's celebration in Rome stretched on till morning, three o'clock in fact for most of the
players, and Messi, Puyol, Pique, Bojan, Botia and Muniesa partying on until five.
The team was on their flight back to Barcelona the next day, where they landed at the El Pratt
airport in Barcelona at five in the afternoon following the Champions League victory.

The treble is OURS! Barcelona have done it, we've defeated Manchester United 2-0 to claim the
Champions League and, subsequently, the first treble in the history of Barcelona and even
Spain!
Manchester United? Setting Cristiano aside, they weren't even there! Our boys totally shut them
down, and even our patchy defense was able to thwart what attack there was from them!

There's not much to be said about last night's match itself... it was another annoying loss
resulting from the crap playing style of get-the-ball-to-Eto'o which simply does not work in any
way or form. It holds the team back, so they don't do well, and Eto'o doesn't even take advantage
of the chances given him.

Well, we've won the Liga so last night's isn't of much importance, however we're still a tad
annoyed that the boys lost.
.Why? Good question. Well, Pep fielded a team of substitutes and B-teamers, looking to rest the
starters up for the final in Roma, and perhaps not much is expected of a team of youngsters up
against a Mallorca side who are still taking things seriously.

We're simply overjoyed! The match was spectacular, performance was spectacular, the result was
spectacular and the boys celebrating was the loveliest thing in the world to see!
What does this victory mean for Barca? Well, oh so many things. It marks the club's twenty-fifth
Copa Del Rey title.

We're a bit miffed that the lads came off with such a draw, thus postponing Barca's La Liga
victory, but in the end, it's only putting off the inevitable. A win or draw in the next match will
secure the title for us, for the nineteenth time in Barcelona's history; there's not a chance we
won't claim it.

Though we can hardly believe what happened last night, it's slowly sinking in... we're gaining full
realization that no, it's not all a dream, and it did actually happen: Barcelona are in the
Champions League final.
This was always going to be a tough match, even going in to it, but it wasn't until Chelsea scored
that we really started to panic.

Can there possibly be words to describe last night's match? We'll give it a try...
It was simply unbelievable, to say the least. No one, not even us in all our elation and optimism
when it comes to Barca, ever even thought we'd achieve this result. The score in itself is
incredible, and Barca have achieved it over Real Madrid on the Santiago Bernebau in a match that
was infinitely crucial for the Liga.

It's not the result that worries us so much as the performance. A draw is okay, even if Madrid
don't lose tonight, because we still maintain a fair point difference, and have the chance to widen
it in the coming Classico. But that won't happen if the boys play then the way they did last night.
The match was simply lacking effort.

Xavi's grip on Iniesta's thigh: distracting? Alright, we'll go on to the important: Barca beat
Sevilla 4-0 with Messi on the bench! If that's not awesomeness, we just don't know what is.
So, shall we begin gushing about how wonderful Barca is? We've been doing that a lot recently, and
in the end, it's enough to say that this is just a perfectly complete team: the boys are hot, they
play great, there is beauty in their football, their team chemistry is spectacular; and there's a
lot of camaraderie between the players, on pitch and off.

First off, we would like to mourn the loss of Gerard Pique's splendiferous hair. He's now sporting
that annoying buzz cut he had at the start of the season, which we were able to forget once those
lovely locks grew out into perfection... and then he went and hacked them off again. He's tall,
blue-eyed, and perfectly gorgeous, and yet he always seems to find some way to mar that brilliant
appeal with hideous shirts, the most deplorable shoes, and even, on occasion, that abysmal thing
called a man-bag.

Okay, so we didn't destroy Bayern again, but then, that's expected. The German team really put
forth an effort last night, so they could leave with some pride; and perhaps they did, for 1-1 is
much more merciful than 4-0.
And it wasn't any slacking off on our part, either, for the boys did quite well given the
circumstances—here being three things: the fact that we'd as good as qualified since the fist
leg, the tight match schedule plus traveling and playing away, and the fact that Bayern were
determined not to lose this one.

Well, you can't always thrash em.
Barca came away from the match against Recreativo with the comfortable score of 2-0. Not flashy,
but still comfortable. Given the fact that it was just three days after the last game, we can
factor in the element of fatigue. And given that the next game is just three days after, we can
factor in the necessity to bench some of the starters.

Knockout competitions can be very tough, especially when we're playing the return leg away, but
after this match Barca is as good as qualified.
The team barely scraped past Valladolid with a single goal just a few days before, but the quarter
final of the Champions League was much different.

Barca's back! After the run of disappointing results and poor performance in Barca's last five
matches, finally, against Bilbao, it was the old Barca again. And not just because of the result,
and not just because we won, but because the boys were playing so wonderfully, and truly are
backing to their old ways!

Barca still hasn't managed to come off with a win for the fifth match in a row now, but things did
look a bit better for this one.
Iniesta is looking great following his injury, and did a good job in leading the attack line where
Bojan and Hleb just weren't as hot.
Behind the frontal three, Sergio did manage to go through a match without getting booked for once,
despite his poor form, and what with Keita barely doing anything all match long (again), our pillar
of strength Yaya Toure was holding up the midfield on his own.

Despite scoring three goals, the team just couldn't manage a win last night. The team's results
lately have been very distressing, but we still remain at the top of the Liga by four points, so
there isn't too much cause for worry, as long as things get better soon...Henry scored a wonderful
brace, and Leo's goal was equally lovely, but Athletico still managed to net one more than us.

It's not an entirely satisfying result, but we'll take it. Sure beats losing to Espanyol, anyway.
We're not going to lash out on the team for this one... the draw is acceptable given the
circumstances. And the circumstances here being the fact that this match comes just three days
after the last one, a derby which didn't exactly leave the lads in the highest of spirits, plus the
fact that they were playing away, and had the whole trip from Spain to France to make.

We're not just upset by this, we're angry too. This was undoubtedly the worst match night we've had
all season, and it really shouldn't have been. It's the first time we lose at home and only the
second Liga loss since the very first game against Numancia, and there was never a more unjust
outcome.
Barca did not play a full ninety minutes for this one.

The international break has got us again as Barca gave a generally crappy performance last night.
This is our third draw in the Liga this season, and we'd like to stop and point out that in all
three cases, said draws came directly after the players got back from international matches. So
yeah, we're putting that on our blame list.

Eto'o may have scored two goals, but the star of this match was most definitely Dani Alves. He's
always great, but last night he was just brilliant. Darling Dani was all over the place, linking
the play, creating the chances, being his usual phenomenal self, only better. Add to that a simply
amazing goal, and there's no denying that he was our man of the match.

The first leg of the Copa semis went along very smoothly... our lads secured a comfortable 2-0
lead, which takes a lot of pressure off of the second leg now, and a good performance came along
with it. Teamwork was very prominent in this match, as the boys were working together just
beautifully; could there be anything more lovely than Bojan's cross for Henry's goal?

What can we say, except for this: Lionel Messi is the King of Football. The entire match was a mess
before he came on... we were down by one goal, the attack was asleep, scores of yellow cards had
been drawn on our players and everything was terrible. Then, magical Messi steps onto the pitch,
and within minutes he scores the equalizer.

It's all about the youngsters! Bojan, Pique—Pique, Bojan—we just can't choose between
them. Both of them were just equally amazing last night.
Bo was mind-blowing, incredibly determined and incredibly dangerous as he played out his best match
this season, leading Barca to victory. He scored Barca's first and second goals, and the second one
was so amazing, Messi himself couldn't have finished it off more beautifully.
