Well, all those hoping for quick and easy answers to what our season holds will be
disappointed.
There were not enough positives in our 0-0 with Sunderland to have the optimists planning their
outfits for the Champions Parade, nor enough negatives for the pessimists to start slashing their
wrists.

After Saturday's harrowing experience, Tottenham Hotspur players have demanded for heart checks
for assurance on their health this is according to top cardiologist Sanjay Sharma.
Speaking to Sky News, Sharma a leading cardiologist revealed that players had demanded
for screening on Monday.
Firstly, please accept my apologies for this mini-hiatus. Â I appreciate the emails and higher
expectations. Indeed, I wanted to write a lot more frequently but a couple of factors kept me away.
The current run of form has been disheartening to say the least and while I dearly wished to look
back and analyze some games and stats, the heart just wasn't up to it.
Liverpool meet Everton at Goodison Park in the derby tomorrow, eager to secure victory over
their L4 rivals for the first time since February 2010. The Reds went without victory over Everton
last season, losing 2-0 at Goodison in the first game after FSG's takeover before a Dirk Kuyt
penalty secured a 2-2 draw at Anfield in January.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes young Ignasi Miquel is not yet ready to feature in the
English Premier League and Champions League but showed positive signs ahead of the future. Speaking
to Arsenal TV Online, the ...
Being linked to be moving away from Liverpool in the summer, Dirk Kuyt, done simply the opposite
as not only the player prove his loyalty by staying this season, Kuyt reportedly already planned to
extend his adventure at Anfield.
According to the Dutchman himself, instead of looking for a new adventure next season, he looked
determined in staying with the Reds as talks for his contract renewal has already begun and showing
positive signs.
Chelsea may not have fully overcome the chinks in their armour that threatened to derail their
assault on multiple trophies and titles this season, with defensive lapses still a feature of their
game against Sunderland earlier this week, but the signs are that the Blues' slump is coming to a
timely end.
By 1970's Gooner There were many positive signs that emerged from last night's encounter with
Milan. Firstly the Ox gave a performance that was absolutely fantastic. For an 18 year old to have
performed at such a high level of quality means that he along with Wilshere, Szczeny, Walcott and
Song contain Arsenal's hopes for a very bright future indeed.
Match Day – 6 – Milan Vs Palermo – San Siro – 15th Oct 2011 With the slowest start to the
season in the last 21 years the defending Serie A Champions entered match day six needing a win.
There were positive signs heading into the match with Palermo. Robinho was making his first

Chelsea open the UEFA Champions League round of 16 with a first leg away fixture against Italian
Serie A side Napoli. The match will take place at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples, Italy on Tuesday,
February 21, 2012.
25 or 7 ?
25% vs 7 times. That pretty much sums up the whole uncertainty around this game. Statistically,
Lyon only have a 25% chance to qualify after the draw (1-1) conceded at home, three weeks ago. But
this small percentage is opposed to the record of confrontations between the two teams, largely in
favor of OL : 7 games against Real, 0 loss.
With surging national attendance numbers (strongly supported here in Seattle) the indication
would be that at least one aspect of Major League Soccer's business model is strong. Positive signs
go deeper as the rivalries in Cascadia and elsewhere help build relevance of the local teams in
their markets local TV ratings are up as well.
Not quite sure how to feel about this one. There were some obviously positive signs, namely
Fredy Montero absolutely dominating the middle stretch of the game. Our newest Designated Player
got the scoring started by assisting on a Jhon Kennedy Hurtado goal and the scored two of his own.
It was exactly the kind of game we were hoping to see after a relatively lackluster preseason.
The game was only 32 second old when Josh McEachran thumped the ball into the roof of the net
from two yards out. Shay Given stretched out a desperate arm, but wasn't able to prevent Chelsea
taking the lead inside the first minute. Not the ideal start to the Asia Cup final on a pitch that
would provide almost as big a challenge as the oppressive heat.
Kenny Dalglish is confident his Liverpool side can break a seven-year jinx on Saturday by beating
Birmingham City in the league.
Rafael Benitez failed to gain three points against the midlanders during his Anfield tenure - while
Roy Hodgson could only manage a goalless draw at St Andrew's earlier this season.
Yes, it's just pre-season. Yes, it's still early days, there's much to be done. Nevertheless,
the positive signs continue. The green shoots of recovery are quite possibly poking their heads
through the soil.
Darren Bent (who else?) got the only goal of the game in typically oppressive conditions in Hong
Kong, but there were encouraging performances all around the pitch.
Toronto FC showed up in New England and played with some of the fire that was on display late
Saturday night in Los Angeles. Not enough fire to score against the Revolution, but I give them
credit for some ignition.
There seemed to be signs of cohesion from Toronto. Players seemed to know each other that much
more.
The 21-year-old is proud to have started in three Wembley outings in the space of just four
months in 2012 and is delighted that the Reds were able to end a six-year wait for silverware by
winning the Carling Cup in February this year.
However, the youngster also knows he and his teammates are capable of performing to higher
standards in the league and insists there has been ample evidence throughout this year's campaign
to indicate the team's potential to climb the table next year.
Matthew Biggerstaff doesn't dubstep around Generation Y Soccer in America
Good evening.
The Evil Empire?
As one of TSG's youngest contributors (Matt has lovely and legitimate conversations about car
seats and strollers with our men's league teammates) it is my duty to keep you informed on the
social status of the game we all love so dearly with the most important generation (that being my
own, of course).
I hope you'll let me divert for a bit to this wonderful article from MLB.com. Dave Cameron was
diagnosed with leukemia last July and while he won't be considered cured for another 5 years he's
turned a major corner and is seeing very positive signs.
Dave's a few years younger than me but we both grew up in the Seattle area listening to Dave
Niehaus (RIP) calling many bad (and a few good) Mariners seasons.
Arsenal assistant Pat Rice, who, as a result of Arsene Wenger's two match touchline ban, was the
man in charge for the Gunners last evening, has said that he saw many positive signs from the ...
I said on the preview that I wasn't expecting much of this match, but even I expected something
better than what we got. While the scoreline points to an easy superiority, in reality the match
was a stumbling affair full of fouls, missed passes and an overall sense of 'let's just kick the
ball about for a bit and hope we don't die of heat-stroke'.
