Sporting have falling back a few spots in the Portuguese Superliga after drawing today against
Maritimo. Sporting looked to cement their fourth place spot but after the draw with Maritimo
coupled with Rio Ave and Nacional victories, Sporting now sit tied in sixth spot in the league.

Braga continued their dominance of the top Portuguese clubs with a hard fought 2-0 victory over

Portuguese clubs Benfica and Braga get set for a first place clash tonight at the Estadio Axa.
Benfica and Braga currently sit atop the Portuguese Superliga (Liga Sagres) with 22 points a piece
after eight weeks of action. Benfica have been on fire in the league winning seven straight
encounters and outscoring their opponents by a margin of 29-4.

Benfica continue their roll in the Portuguese Superliga with another crushing defeat of a
portuguese side. This time the team to feel the wrath of the Eagles was Nacional da Madeira who
went down to an embaressing defeat 6-1. Oscar Cardozo had the hat trick scoring goals in the 17th,
48th and 89th minute the latter two on the PK, while Saviola chipped in a brace in the 40th and
61st minute.

Braga continue their perfect run in the Portuguese Superliga with a late victory over Olhanense in
Week 6 action. Braga got a late marker from Alan in the 90+ minute to preserve their strong start
to the season. Braga sit atop the Portuguese league with a 6-0-0 record.

Leixoes have opened Week 5 of the Portuguese Superliga (Liga Sagres) with renounding victory over
Guimaraes. Leixoes picked up their first victory of the season on the 3-1 win. Laranjeiro on a PK,
Pouga and Ze Manuel scored for Leixoes and Nuno Assis got the lone marker for Guimaraes.

Leixoes and Belenenses have kicked started the Portuguese Superliga (Liga Sagres) season with a
scoreless draw. Leixoes had a few more chances the Belenenses in the matchup but were not able to
convert when needed and Belenenses who look to shed their form of the past two seasons gain a much
needed point.

Camacho is most well known for his links to Real Madrid as a player (a whopping
414 appearances at the Bernabeu) and a coach (from 2004-5). The Spaniard has also been capped over
80 times for the Spanish national team and coach the team from 1998 up to the 2002 World Cup. No
one will question his experience as the new man at Benfica, but they will see the fact that he has
never spent more than 3 seasons - in a managerial position - at one club (unless you count the
Spanish national team).
