Nani on his way to Italy.

Manchester United Dugout 15 November @ 10:34 AM EST

The Portuguese winger did not mince his words in an interview with a newspaper and that has probably left Ferguson furious. Click to continue reading...

The biggest Spurs flops of all time

White Hart Pain 11 November @ 07:46 AM EST

With Roman Pavlyuchenko today insisting he must leave Tottenham, it made me think back to players of years gone by that have arrived with big reputations only to depart before making any impact whatsoever.

Pavlyuchenko cost £14m just over a year ago, that's serious money in today's market for a player that isn't English.

Replacing Ronaldo – Obertan Or Nani?

Republik Of Mancunia 30 October @ 10:27 AM EST

Gabriel Obertan impressed for much of his début against Barnsley before looking tired in the final fifteen minutes or so. He kept the ball really well, ran at the opposition with speed and showed off his silky skills. He looks to be the real deal, regardless of what Larry White thinks.

He's only had one game so there's no point getting ahead of ourselves, but some sections of the press have already questioned what impact Obertan's arrival and début might have on Nani.

Report Card: Ballon d’Or Nominations

Premiership Talk Blog 19 October @ 09:36 AM EST

With the Ballon d'Or nominations finally releasing this weekend, the headlines have mostly been devoted to the fact that world champions Italy have no representation whatsoever. Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 1 defence and Ancelotti give cause for concern

bridge views 19 October @ 04:44 AM EST

Another away match, another defeat. Overall, in losing to a good Aston Villa side, Chelsea didn't actually put in a bad performance. But errors both in defence and attack, and a worrying lack of leadership from Ancelotti, were enough to get me concerned.
Even in deserved defeat, there were some positives.

This may or may not be Toni Brito Sa. I don't read Portuguese well.
Liverpool have trumped Chelsea to sign Portuguese teenager Toni Brito-Sa. The much hyped sixteen year old had a trial period at Chelsea a year ago, but will sign for Liverpool from Benfica.
I've never seen Brito-Sa play, and I'm sure he's no Gai Assulin - but he's another one to keep stored away in the back of your mind for that 2014-2015 Fantasy Premier League season. Click to continue reading...
