The News Of The World have had a statement from a
Man United ‘insider', who claims that
defender
Rio Ferdinand could be out for up to eight weeks. Ferdinand has struggled with a
back injury ever since last season's Champion's League game against Porto.

Highly-rated Lyon full-back Aly Cissokho has conceded he would one day love to play for either
Manchester United or Liverpool.
The talented 21-year-old only moved to France in the summer from Porto after a switch to AC Milan
was scuppered by a problem with his medical.

Oy. Unless your name is Aaron and you are the co-writer of this blog, yesterday was the ugliest day
yet in the contest, as the five participants combined for just 57 points - 26 of those coming from
Aaron, who nailed two games perfectly.
They say the best thing after a bad performance is to come right back out and try it again, and the

Two wins from two games so far in the Champions League. Given our excellent form, the third one
looks likely tomorrow against Alkmaar. They might be the Champions of Holland but they just lost at
the weekend and are 6th in the table. The Dutch League isn't as strong as it was a decade ago.Â

While the Aughts have been full of speculation/proposal about the Old Firm joining the EPL, the
90's was about the Old Firm joining what was dubbed as the Atlantic League. It was a joint proposal
from the big clubs in the Netherlands, Scotland and Portugal. ESPN is reporting that there may be
another attempt at this break away league, which would involve the aforementioned clubs along with
Belgium and the Scandinavian clubs.

When Kalou joined Chelsea back in 2006, he looked a promising player. Perhaps a little inconsistent
– especially in the final third – Kalou was at least dynamic, energetic and positive in
possession.

based in the principality of Monaco. They are, nevertheless, one of the most successful clubs in

Brazil have called up Porto's Helton for their final WC qualifiers against Bolivia on October
11th in La Paz, and Venezuela 3 days later in Campo Grande.
Helton is in as cover for Grêmio's Victor who has picked up a muscle injury. However, Victor
remains with the squad.

Back in my prime, there was one method of scoring I never mastered, the heel-flick. I pulled the
move off in training many times, but in matches I made a fool of myself by whiffing on multiple
occassions. I really want to score on a heel flick in a meaningful match because it's just so
cool.
