After months of turmoil – preceded by years of worry and struggle – Port Vale's tale could

do something like ‘the right thing.' When last we were in Burslem, boardroom changes were afoot,
with the prospect of two new directors, both popular with supporters campaigning for boardroom
personnel changes.
Since Marty tagged me as "Poll Boy", here are some interesting poll results from the season. I
placed the Cameron poll 1st, as it's more relevant to the current polls. These are revealing as to
where we've been and who we are today...Do you still stand by your previous votes?
There are a dizzying number of rumors and reports out there to sort through at the moment, as
well as some semi-news from the preseason tour in Asia. And while it's somewhat tiresome to keep up
with all the rumors, I'll do my best to sort through some of the bigger news items of the last
couple of days.
Next up in our brief series on summer take-overs, Mark Murphy has an update from Port
Vale.
Port Vale have a functioning, constitutionally sound, a recently-elected board of directors, a
six-figure investment deal (seven-figure, if you include various forms of sponsorship) on the table
and a recently-appointed manager who masterminded a strong League Two promotion challenge before
being lured away to his home-town club midway through last season.

For the time being, I'm going to leave this as an open thread, as I missed almost all of the
first half and was interrupted for large spells of the second. From what I hear there wasn't much
to recap anyhow, with few chances for either side and a pace dictated by the fact that neither side
looked like they could be bothered to do much.
