Earlier this week I made my latest guest appearance on the twofootedtackle podcast. The good people
over there invited me on to speak about the terrible events in Cabinda, Angola where the Togo
national team bus was ambushed and all manner of other things football. On the pod alongside Theo
Delaney, Gary Andrews and Chris Nee we discuss Angola, the African Cup of Nations, the Premier
League, the winter break (I'm against it as you'll hear) and Serie A.
After a successful first attempt at podcasting, here is the second podcast by Thad at The Back Post
and myself. It is a bit out of date now with the news that came out as the week went on with
regards to the stadium and the new signings, but it's still relevant. Also, we are still looking
for a good name for the podcast so post your ideas.
That's right, it's the first Friday of the month, which means that the latest Popdose Podcast is
up! Listen as Jason, Jeff and I celebrate Easter by discussing pop culture resurrections. While I
can't say we reach the dizzying heights of the last episode, there are still some great moments,
such as Jason confronting his neighbors about the volume of their, shall we say, activities.
Yep, Episode 7 of the Popdose Podcast is now online and Jason, Jeff and I agree that it's our
funniest one yet. Coincidentally (or not), it's far and away our most vulgar one, even by our own
very low standards. I'd like to blame thank our special guest Chris Illuminati for making it
so.
There aren't many celebrities or media personalities that I would like to be friends with. I
don't need that type of validation. True, there are a lot that I would like to meet and/or
interview, but very few whom I not only admire, but feel similar in personality enough to wish that
I could call up at will an get their take on things.
As promised, Episode 6 of the Popdose Podcast is now up. We set new highs in low comedy by
celebrating Black History Month. But since Jason, Jeff and I are the three whitest guys around, we
invited the only black member of the Popdose staff, Mike Heyliger, to join us.
Give it a listen.
And yes, that is McD as Peter Lawford and Wing as Sammy.
As I said earlier today, only titles (and awards) count in football. You may disagree
(especially if your team wears red, pretends to play in pretty triangles and don't like to win if
one of your painted nails gets chipped), but that is how the world works.
Which kind of puts us in a difficult spot earlier this week Soccerlens was nominated for several
awards, including best EPL Blog, best EPL Blogger (yours truly), best EPL Podcast, best EPL Podcast
Pundit (Iain Spragg) and best EPL Podcast Presenter (Adrian Clarke).
Here's one from my Popdose colleague Dave Steed, a review of Solemn. Sacred. Severe. by
Griftegard.
It wasn't until about 2008 or so that I really started getting into doom metal...
I still haven't gotten into it. But speaking of Popdose, if you hadn't noticed, Episode 9 of the
podcast went up last week.

Your Editor, Elsewhere is a post from: Just Football
Just a couple of quick bits and bobs I haven't mentioned on here recently regarding your humble
editor, moi. About a month ago the lovely people over at FourFourTwo, one of the most
popular and prestigious football magazines in the world, invited me to join up with them to write a
regular blog on African football for the online portion of their wonderful magazine.
