What an abject object lesson in how not to handle a mess....liverpool fc have been a disaster area
for weeks. Dalglish's obstinate refusal to acknowledge any wrong by his player has plunge that club
deeper and deeper into ignominy.
It finally come to a head on Saturday when a player who'd previously been racially abused by
Suarez tried to put in all behind them by offering a handshake and still Suarez tried to play the
wounded, wronged party and refused.
Footballers already get millions to play a game as their career, delighting in an extended
childhood. Why not go all the way and stop for playtime in the snow as well?
Actually, Joel Obi's plunge into a snowbank really just serves as further proof no game should
ever be canceled due to snow.
There has been one story that has cheered me up today about our beloved blues and that's
confirmation that Sam Hutchison has earned himself a new contract to the end of next season. Not
bad for someone who had to retire with injury a while ago!.
I posted on my blog before that Hutchison is an inspiration and this news confirms the case.
Much of the focus of Bobby Di Matteo's appearance in front of the press before Liverpool tomorrow
is about his future. There has been speculation of late that clubs had been interested in speaking
to him with a view to becoming their manager (...and Leicester to mention one).
Di Matteo was keen to emphasise how happy he is here in the club he calls his home.

Heineken Star Player is a real-time game that allows players to predict the outcome of various
incidents during live Champions League games and by playing along with Pies next week, you could
stand to win a really rather fantabulous prize.
I'll begin with a caveat. I'm not a gamer. Not anymore, at least. My one remaining vice in the
genre is the Football Manager (née Championship Manager) series, which I shuffle up to the till to
purchase every year, a process that has grown increasingly frictionless. Given such a limited
gaming habit and the fact that I'm on a Mac, I've never had any use for Steam and have always
bought a physical copy of the game.
Cardiff City supporter Neil Mace lives next door to The Cardiff City Stadium, so the Welsh
Premier League isn't something that had previously occurred to him as a good idea. Last weekend,
however, he took the plunge and this is what he found out.
As a Cardiff City fan, the Welsh Premier League has previously escaped my interest.
There's not a ton of change in this week's rankings, but don't expect that to last. A
crucial week looms with potentially huge matchups (take your pick between FC Dallas vs. Seattle or
Columbus vs. Philadelphia) and there's no way some of those teams will get away unscathed. As for
this week, the Union and D.
The new Chicharito? What Liverpool fans can actually expect from Marco
Bueno
Football Spy has signed up some of the web's top foreign football experts to provide you with
first-hand information on the latest Premier League transfer targets. Here's Joe Krishnan on
Liverpool target Marco Bueno.
This may have been one of the best goal celebrations ever.

Roger Levesque did this celebration last night after his goal against the New York Red Bulls.
The Plunge or the Dive, whatever you call it was brillent.
I watched quite a bit of soccer over Father's Day weekend and was pleased to see the two teams I
follow most closely get results. Sadly however, I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth and very
little time to do full reaction posts. Instead, I'll slam a couple together and bind them with the
one central theme that dominated the two most important matches (to me, anyway).
...and go buy Issue #1 of The Blizzard. It's a pay-what-you-like model, and I was suspicious of the
£3 (~$5) suggested price for the ePub. But I'm a big fan of Jonathan Wilson, so I took the plunge
and feel richly rewarded for doing so, both in the quantity and the quality of the work included. A
nice stack of non-time-sensitive soccer/football journalism now sits on my phone, just waiting for
those little gaps in the day to appear.
Looks like the windows could do with a clean Get your panic in early before prices rise has always
been my motto as a hardened Tottenham fan. But it does seem to me that this season is taking on a
make or break aspect which makes the transfer window even more crucial than usual. Of course every
season has the capacity to be a desperate plunge into the depths of a relegation fight or a rocket
Liverpool vice-captain Jamie Carragher admits he will have to modify his ultra-competitive on-field
attitude if he eventually decides to go into management.
The 33-year-old still has more than a year left on his current deal at Anfield but has long been
linked with a move into coaching.
Carragher, the club's second highest appearance-maker with 667, is playing under his fifth
Liverpool manager in Kenny Dalglish and accepts he has learned much from all of them.
A week so full of promise ends in new lows. Plunge into this bitter chasm with me as we relive
how a well-drilled, but far from lethal Liverpool grabbed a deserved win over an utterly useless
Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge. Has it really come to this?
Dalglish 1-0 Ancelotti
The lead-up was phenomenal.
Following Liverpool's loss to arch rivals Manchester United, Ryan Babel proceeded join the
bandwagon and plunge into the debate via Twitter. Babel is fairly famous for using Twitter as I am
sure most Liverpool FC fans are aware, but was he out of order?
Of course, Babel isn't the only player who uses Twitter, many of the QPR players are blasting El
Hadj Diouf over the popular site for his unkind words towards Jamie Mackie who suffered a double
fracture to his leg for things that he said.
