There are an awful lot of similarities between MLS and NFL franchises (including but not limited to complaining about the lines on the fields in Seattle and New England).

Chicago Fire: New York Jets - The Fire and the Jets actually have more similarities than you think. The Jets won Super Bowl III, the Fire won the third MLS Cup.

In Texas, They're Already Talking Houston, Dallas Superbowl

Most fans outside of Texas would be laughing at the idea of an all-Texas Superbowl, but, after week one, two of the most impressive teams are Houston and Dallas.

A one-state, all-pride Superbowl doesn't come around often.

It's happened twice before, in 1995, when the Steve Young, Jerry Rice San Francisco 49ers clobbered the San Diego Chargers, 49-26, and in 1991, when a failed field goal try to end the game gave the New York Giants the edge over the Buffalo Bills, 20-19.

As you can see, Rashard Mendenhall decided to hump Ben Roethlisberger in the closing moments of the Pittsburgh Steelers victory over the New York Jets. Obviously, advancing to the Super Bowl is exciting although, one would imagine there are better ways to celebrate the excitement than humping your quarterback on national television.

Real Madrid are in Philadelphia for a friendly against Celtic on Saturday. While there, they've been training at the Philadelphia Eagles' complex and several Madrid players were special guests at the Eagles' preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.

To help promote Saturday's match, the Madrid players attempted field goals with American footballs at halftime (after practicing earlier in the day) and Sergio Ramos caught the commentators' attention by making a 53-yarder (for a point of reference, the longest field goal in NFL history is 63 yards).
