The US WNT overcame early match nerves and a very game Costa Rican team through goals scored by
Tobin Heath, Carli Lloyd, and Alex Morgan. This win qualifies them for the London Olympics. In the
other semi-finals, Canada held off Mexico, 3-1, to also book their spot. The final will be played
tomorrow and pits two of the most potent goalscorers in the game.

If you give Photoshop-enabled laptops to the Mayhem & Fruit Beverage Suite bishes, this is what
you can expect to happen. We've learned this now and are trying to retrieve the computers, although
judging by the state of the intern who returned empty handed from the Suite a few moments ago, our
journey will be a long, hard one.
Manchester United star Wayne Rooney was at the centre of an unlikely Twitter spat with The X Factor
'wildman' Frankie Cocozza. The reality TV star tweeted: "#CelebsThatLookLikeTheyStink not really a
celeb but I bet his pits are stinking, along with his breath @waynerooney." You might wonder what
Rooney would gain from rising to the bait, [.

The Los Angeles Galaxy won the Supporters' Shield, amassing the most points over the course of
the MLS season, thus earning any and all advantages heading into the postseason.
Their reward: two cross-country trips in a four-day span for a two-legged tie against the only

South African player's celebrate thinking they were through to the African Nations Cup
Finals
2010 World Cup host's South Africa were left red-faced after failing to read
the rule book on African Nations Cup qualification. Manager Pits Mosimane played for a draw against
Sierra Leone thinking a point would put them through to the finals on goal difference from Niger
who they were level on points with when in fact the Bafana Bafana needed to win because of their
head-to-head with Niger who qualified for the very first time in their history.
Alejandro Bedoya, Carlos Bocanegra, and Maurice Edu take their first bite out of the Scottish

Hands up, I watched the game in the boozer last night and, in direct correlation, can remember
next to nothing about the match save isolated moments of semi-lucid clarity though the order is a
little hazy.
Here are my 'notes', verbatim...
"Di Natale's forward roll was nice touch, SHOULD ALLOW DI NATALE'S OFFSIDE VOLLEY TO STAND ON
QUALITY CONTROL GROUNDS, worrying that Vermaelen had broken again when he lay slumped on the

There's a revolution at the bottom of the SBI MLS Power Rankings, in more ways than one.
The New England Revolution's fourth consecutive loss pits the club at No. 17, the lowest it's
been all season. Other clubs near the bottom, namely Sporting Kansas City and Chicago, are on the
way up after each secured four points this past week to make up some ground on the league
leaders.
The landscape of the lower divisions has, perhaps, changed more than we have noticed over the
last couple of decades. Twenty years ago, Luton Town were in the First Division and had been there
for some time, while Wrexham were finishing at the bottom of Division Four. Both teams were,
arguably, a little lucky.
