Athletic Bilbao vs Barca Preview

All About F C Barcelona 21 November @ 01:51 AM EST

The last two times Barca returned from international break, we failed to win our away games and subsequently had a bad result in the Champions League encounters. We always have struggled after an international break, but this time it is a make or break time for Barca. We cannot afford to lose or draw against Bilbao as it will definitely show in our all important encounter against Inter on Tuesday. Click to continue reading...

Match Report: Barcelona 4-2 Mallorca

Barcelista 08 November @ 02:24 PM EST
Everyone's sure to be happy with last night's result – we know we are. The boys came out to win and they did it, attacking well from the very beginning, with Pedro being surprisingly awesome. Pep was resting several starters for this match, with Xavi, Messi, Dani, Iniesta, Bojan, and Pinto on the bench. Click to continue reading...

La Liga: FC Barcelona vs Real Mallorca, Camp Nou, Saturday, November 7 2009, 20:00 CET

Barcelista 07 November @ 10:45 AM EST
After the team's run of poor results lately, we're really looking to this match for a boost. Barca leads the Liga with a single shaky point, and we can't afford anything less than a win if we are to keep our first place position.
But we have a feeling this match will be a turnaround point for the boys, and they'll go back to their winning ways. Click to continue reading...

Champions League: FC Barcelona vs Rubin Kazan, Centrainy Stadium, Wednesday, November 4 2009, 18:30 CET

Barcelista 04 November @ 10:42 AM EST
The freezing cold is what worries us most about this match, as Barca face Rubin Kazan in the snowy, below-zero temeperatures that are the norm in Ruissia this time fo year. Rubin are used to it, but some of our boys have never played in such extreme cold. The oppositon themselvs are no piece of cake either, on top of that; they're the only team that has beaten us so far this season. Click to continue reading...

Barca's next Liga match has them facing Osasuna, as they look for another win to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Previous matches between the two teams have been pretty tight, so let's hope Barca come off with a comfortable result tonight.

Sin sustos

LALIGADESPANA 29 October @ 04:07 AM EST
Click to continue reading...

La Liga: FC Barcelona vs Valencia, Mestalla, Saturday, October 17 2009, 22:00 CET

Barcelista 17 October @ 08:49 AM EST
We're finally back! And just in time for Barca's first match in two weeks, following the international break. The boys head out to a clash with Valencia that's got us pretty excited, particularly about facing David Villa, the Liga's current top-scorer, who has been confirmed to participate tonight after doubts had been circulating about wether he'd be able to make it because of injury. Barca Buzz: What Sport Do We Play Again?

Barcelista 07 August @ 04:42 AM EST
The team held their last training session in Seattle yesterday, with the focus mainly on recovery following the match. Marquez and Iniesta alone couldn't train, because of their injuries, while Puyol and Jeffren trained apart from the rest.
Ibrahimovic continues to train with the group despite his injury, but apparently he's exerting himself a bit too much - his decision to do a bicycle kick ended badly when he came down on his injured hand, causing Pep to grab his head in his hands and yell out, "No Ibra, don't do that! FC Barcelona make easy work of the Seattle Sounders (0-4)

Barcaloco 06 August @ 06:37 PM EST

Lionel Messi put on a performance in front of a sold out Qwest Field in Seattle on Wednesday night. The Argentine had to battle the bad pitch with the grass being overgrown and hindering ball movement but it took him 20 minutes to get the hang of things. He beat the Seattle keeper Keller in the 20th with a shot from the corner of the box, just after Keller had denied him just minutes earlier.

Barca Steal The Show In Seattle

Look at the gap between Titipo and Bojan..... awkward! And you know Dani Alves is checking out Pinto's abs instead of paying attention to this hastily assembled team photo. ATENÇÃO, GENTE!

Anyway, Barca played a friendly against Seattle Sounders yesterday and unsurprisingly, the Messiah stole the show and netted in a double for himself.

Barcelona beat LA Galaxy in front of 93,000 fans

AT THE FAR POST 02 August @ 04:46 PM EST
A trademark free-kick from David Beckham was not enough to prevent LA Galaxy losing to an under-strength Barcelona side in front of 93,000 fans at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles last night.
The England midfielder curled home a free-kick into the top corner on the stroke of half-time to level the scores, and silence the boo boys, after Pedro Rodriguez had fired Barca ahead following Lionel Messi's blocked shot. Click to continue reading...
