I wanted to follow up Kartik's excellent post on the nature of the MLS contract with a look at
this situation from the MLS owner's perspective. If there is one thing the owners fear and will
try to avoid at all costs, it is having a situation like what exists in Europe where a player
contract is really a one-way street with the top players in a ridiculously powerful position.

credit where credit is due, the money-hungry misers who feed our footy obsession, like Harry
Rosen-clad crack dealers, are very good at what they do.

were getting flashbacks.
The American outfitters templates are pretty much the same with this style but the one tweak that
they made was all the difference they needed in order to impress fans.

Arsenal launched a third kit. They was the usual fanfare and hype as to the finesse of the

why do we need a third kit and what happened to last year's away kit, a one season wonder?

Photos of the new kit floating around today. When I first saw it, I didn't think too much of it,
but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I don't think I like it quite as much as our away

were terrible.

One of many reasons why the New Yorker is essential reading, even in London.
But from the perspective of one fan in the press box, where the seats are free, the new Stadium
experience did offer some unexpected pleasures, such as the running transcript, on a couple of the
