When I came here for a soccer game in 2005, it was a beautiful early-August day. Low 80s, low
humidity, little wind, practically no clouds. A perfect afternoon for walking around and exploring
the city. We took a water taxi from Navy Pier down to the Museum Campus on the way down to Soldier
Field.
I'm thrilled to see that The Light In Darkness, the new book from my friend Lawrence Kirsch that
is advertised on the sidebar, will be released on October 8 and is available for pre-order. As with
his first book, For You, it compiles stories about Springsteen from his fans and is packed with
incredible photographs.
An estimated 5,000 people descended on Old Leigh over the weekend for the annual Regatta. Here is a

Photographs of what looks like Italy's new home and away football shirts for the 2010 World Cup
have been leaked.
Designed and manufactured by Puma, Italian football fans will hope their nation will be wearing
these shirts if and when Italy qualifies for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa next summer.
