While you've were toiling over turkey and trimmings, AC Milan took advantage of the Serie A
break by taking their players to sunny Doha. Their winter training camp includes a match vs. Paris
St Germain in the Dubai Football Challenge on the 4th January; a fixture sure to be a tough one as
PSG's newly appointed manager is none other than Carlo Ancelotti, who managed Milan from 2001 to
2009.

Alright, so it's not the end of the season, but when was the last time we missed an opportunity
to publish pictures of footballers and their delicious offspring?
The last time Milan entertained Siena before the Tuscans' visit to the Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday
night was on January 17, 2010. That was the game that Ronaldinho, for me, showed his best in the
red and black. A superb hat-trick, one from the spot, one off his head and an absolute
wonder-strike in the [.
Max Allegri has chosen twenty players for tonight's mouth-watering clash with Barcelona. Clarence
Seedorf, who was an injury doubt, is included while Philippe Mexes is not as he is still recovering
from wrist surgery. Alexandre Pato is set to make his first appearance in the Champions League
since the opening fixture against Barcelona.
Max Allegri has announced his squad for his side's match against Lecce. Notable yet expected
exclusions include Gennaro Gattuso, Alexandre Pato, Mathieu Flamini and Thiago Silva who are all
suffering various injuries. Philippe Mexes has been selected but Allegri has suggest Mario Yepes
may start in his place alongside Alessandro Nesta.
Milan coach Max Allegri has stated that new signing Philippe Mexes could become a starting eleven
player for the Italian champions. However, the Frenchman may still have to wait his turn as the
tactician hinted that he may start him from the bench for Sunday's night's encounter against Lecce.

Milan head into this fixture in confident mood after finding their feet and form this past week.

Champions League football resumes this week as Milan entertain Belarussian side BATE Borisov at the
San Siro on Wednesday night. Max Allegri's side enter this match on the up after their impressive
3-0 win over Palermo last weekend. Robinho's return seemed to help dispense with the lethargic and
predictable side we had seen in the [.
There are many reasons why Milan have struggled so far this campaign. Amongst others, one of them
has been the injury crisis that has exposed our team's lack of depth. But, there are six reasons to
be optimistic ahead of this weekend's clash with Palermo. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Nesta,
Kevin Prince Boateng, Robinho, Gianluca Zambrotta and [.
Earlier this summer Milan admitted that they had spotted their Mr. X, he was a "1.83m tall, blue
and has thick haired midfielder". This vague description sparked many rumours of players that would
fit this profile, from Kaka to Alex Witsel. In the end, however, the tale of the mysterious Mr. X
proved a great [.
According to Transfermarkt, Juventus was the big spender in this summers transfer market,
spending 85.7 million euros in total as the club completed full acquisitions on a number of players
including Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella, who will be joined by fresh faces Arturo Vidal,
Mirko Vucinic, Eljero Elia, Stephan Lichtsteiner and potentially the best deal, Andrea Pirlo, who
arrived from Milan on a free transfer.
Overview At the start of last season many did not expect Milan to challenge for the Scudetto. That
was, at least, until the club secured the services of Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the
eleventh hour of the transfer window. Luciano Moggi, for all the criticism regularly aimed at him,
spoke prophetically when he said that "thanks to him (Ibrahimovic), the title race will be between
Milan and.
Milanisti the world over are anticipating a big signing this coming August, maybe two. Last year,
at the eleventh hour, both Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were signed. Their arrival was a major
reason behind Milan's Scudetto success as they went to contribute 27 goals between them in the
league. Much the same is expected again [.

Milan sealed their eighteenth title in Rome way back in May, though the final few games were a case
of dotting the Is and crossing the Ts. The final point was a formality. Whilst it is true to say
that last season's Milan were a superb side from top to bottom. There was quality throughout their
ranks and enough depth to carry them comfortably over every obstacle they encountered.
Philippe Mexes is a dirty cheat. He's a walking red card and a thuggish scumbag; an explosion
waiting to happen like that quiet, inevitable interval in between lighting a firecracker and
waiting for it to go off. Philippe Mexes is a tremendous defender. Sure, he has a dirty side, but
what centerback doesn't?

Thomas Di Benedetto is a stranger in a strange land. As an American in charge of an Italian
football club Italy being infamously insular when it comes to calcio the Bostonian needs to make a
strong and favorable impression immediately upon the minds of Romanisti. The club's most noticeable
problem is a leaky defence, the likes of which is prone to spectacular mistakes in judgments.
Thiago Silva has admitted to speaking with Barcelona about a possible move to the Camp Nou.
Thiago, who not that far into a long-term deal with Milan, now says that he is open to a move to
Spain.
"I have had contact with people from Barca," Silva told TV Esporte Interativo in Brazil.

turned the focus to locking in some of their current players. A host of player contracts are set to
expire this summer including those of Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and Massimo Ambrosini. While

This Sunday is the last match-week in the 2010-2011 Serie A season but the fates of most of the
Italian sides are already known. At the top of the table, Milan has secured the Scudetto while
Inter and Napoli are assured spots in the Champions League. At the bottom of the table, Sampdoria,
Brescia, and Bari will be relegated to Serie B for the 2011-2012 season.

further reinforced.

The cruciate ligament injury Philippe Mexès suffered against Juventus last
weekend did not just signal the end of his participation in the current campaign, it signalled the
end of his Roma career.
Julian, Alex, and Greg welcome well-known Romanista Sterling to the show. Much is discussed in this
episode, beginning with the win over Udinese. Francesco Totti: is he irreplaceable in the best way
possible? The boys then move onto the team drama involving Philippe Mexes. After his comments about

It doesn't start and end when a player steps onto the pitch, y'know. Although most of our
attention is rightly focussed on the field of play, the occasional bouts of nudity and repressed
violence we have born witness to on the sidelines have taught us that the activities of people
not directly involved in a match can be just as interesting.
There was no tearful gesturing to the Curva Sud. There were no boots or shirt tossed to the Roma
faithful. Instead, there was a forlorn limp towards the dugout as the Stadio Olimpico scoreboard
glowed ‘AS Roma 0-0 Juventus'. Unbeknown at the time, Philippe Mexes had played his last game in
the famed Giallorossi his last gift (at that time), a clean sheet.
Early last week Thomas Di Benedetto flew into Rome's Fiumicino airport to a fervent reception. Both
media and tifosi alike were eagerly awaiting his arrival and subsequently waited for that watershed
moment when a Serie A club would enter into foreign ownership for the very first time. A week later
and there are still details, diligences and more small print to mull over.

Whether it's a newly developed penchant for unhealthy snack foods, the debilitating effects of
over-stretching for piggie purposes or the infinitely more plausible affliction of
'notgivingacrap', we're not the only ones wondering what the holy hell is going on with Philippe
Mexes' hair at the moment.
AS Roma defender Philippe Mexes has cooled talk of a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool has been linked with the Bosman prospect this past week.
"It's true that I'll be out of contract, but I am quite relaxed about the situation," Mexes told
newspapers in France.
"I will wait and then evaluate all proposals.
Liverpool will attempt to secure the signature of the French international defender Philippe Mexes
on a free transfer this summer should Kenny Dalglish's prime defensive target, Gary Cahill, spurn
Anfield in favour of Manchester United.
The Scot sees the Bolton defender as the ideal long-term replacement for Jamie Carragher, but knows
he would be forced to pay a premium price — as much as £18 million — to see off United,
persistent suitors for the 25 year-old, who has become one of the most coveted players in the
Premier League.
The La Magicast crew is back for episode 11, the disappointing Champions' League exit is reflected
upon, with each host giving an overall score to Roma's European campaign. Adriano has left the club
and the guys look back on his career, as Julian recalls the man he was and Alex remembers his lack
of respect.
Genoa scored four unanswered second half goals to defeat AS Roma 4-3 in Italian Serie A league
action on Sunday. The result saw Roma slide to five consecutive losses in which the team has

Mirko Vucinic and Jeremy Menez are so effective coming off the bench that Claudio Ranieri may never
start them again. The two creative stars for Roma shone during their cameo into the match against
