In a recent interview, German national team captain Philip Lahm said that "An openly gay footballer would be exposed to abusive elements. For someone who does [come out], it would be very difficult."

With the Bundesliga season recently getting back underway, rejuvenated after a healthy 4-week winter break, we thought it about time to take a look back at the first half of the season ('die Hinrunde') and pick out a team of the league's best performers.

These moments aren't in any order but a logo of how they enhanced the attractive game.

1. Togo's players celebrating their first aim in the world cup towards South Korea in their opening match. No one can guess that they don't seem to be being paid for playing on the planet cup.

2. Philip Lahm excellent goal against Costa Rica within the 6th minute led strategy to a high scoring World Cup.
