Peter Nowak head coach of the Philadelphia Union has asked Josh Gros to join his coaching team.
"I hadn't talked to him for a few months, but he called me out of the blue to offer me the
position," Gros said. "Obviously, I didn't hesitate to take it."
"The whole concept for me behind this relationship is that Josh was always the one guy you could
rely on and really trust to get job done no matter the position you put him in," Nowak, hired May
28 as the Union's first head coach, told the Philadelphia Daily News earlier this week.

Peter Nowak, an assistant coach for the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team, has been named the
first coach of the MLS Philadelphia Union according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Nowak will also
be actively involved in all personnel decisions according to a team official.

Major League Soccer Philadelphia 2010 has revealed the date for an announcement ceremony to
unveil the club's name, colours, logo and ticket pricing. The celebration will be hosted at City
Hall by Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter on Monday, May 11 at 11:30 a.m. The Mayor will be joined
by team, local and state officials when MLS Philadelphia reveals its long-awaited identity with
just over 10 months remaining before First Kick.
