Giggs the top man in PFA awards
There seems to be mixed opinion on the announcement that Ryan Giggs has been voted the PFA's
player of the season for the 2008-09 season.
A player who has only started 12 games this year, and played a predominant role from the subs

should have won years ago.

It's Manchester United who dominate this years shortlist for the PFA player of the year award.
Nemanja Vidic, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo and Edwin van der Sar have all been put
forward, along with Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard. Vidic is strong favourite to claim the award,
despite a drop in form of late; he's helped by the fact the voting took place a few weeks ago.
