Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra will face each other on the field for the first time since the
controversial racism charges against Suarez when Manchester United and Liverpool renew their
rivalry in today's marquee match-up.
Suarez will be key to the Reds chances of knocking off Manchester United in a vital match-up for
both teams.

Europe.
After Tim Ream was named to Bolton's matchday roster and Charlie Davies was named to Sochaux's,
West Ham announced that centerback George John will be part of the 20-man traveling party for the
club's match at Peterborough United on Saturday.

The FA Cup continues in full swing today, with the biggest match-up of the weekend featuring the
Manchester Derby.
Manchester City will look to take a step closer to defending their FA Cup title against a
Manchester United side that is coming off a painful loss to Newcastle in league play.
Oh fuck me. The FA Cup is back.
Now, I'm not one of those EPL-centric, footballing-history-started-in-1992 type people. I just
hate the FA Cup. I hate how misused the FA Cup is in terms of broadcasting (both online and
televised).
Last March I wrote a post about how College Basketball's March Madness is presented in
America.

If the Christmas weekend left you starved for soccer, Monday might just be enough to satisfy
your hunger.
Nearly a dozen games involving Americans Abroad are scheduled to take place on Boxing Day,
including Jonathan Spector's match against his former club, West Ham United.

Confirmation of the live televised matches for the Third Round of the FA Cup came early this
year, and while there was no great shock in the Manchester derby a match which has, arguably, taken
on a heightened level of importance given the events in the Champions League last night, even if it
still isn't the main even of either teams season it was a little surprising to see that the
decisions were taken by both ITV and ESPN before next weeks Second Round replays had even been
played.
Swansea face a battle with Liverpool to sign teenage Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly reports the
Daily Express.
The 19-year-old is attracting interest from a number of English clubs, with League One side
Brentford having also made an offer for the talented youngster.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been alerted to Donnelly's potential and is weighing up an attempt to
entice him to Anfield when the transfer window reopens in January.
The draw for this season's FA Cup 3rd round was made today with Manchester City drawn Manchester
United at hom in what is the draw of the round. There will be only one other all Premier League tie
with Newcastle at home to Blackburn, while non-league Tamworth got a dream tie with Everton at
Goodison Park.

The Peterborough United of 2009-10 were one of our three most heavily covered clubs. A tempestuous
period saw Darren Ferguson's exciting young team, enriched by a luxurious three pronged attack
consisting of George Boyd, Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron McLean, learn some harsh lessons when it
came to defence – by the time Mark Cooper, Jim Gannon and Gary Johnson had each taken a turn at

If you came away from the U.S. men's national team friendlies wanting to see more of Fabian
Johnson, you'll likely get your chance on Sunday.
Johnson should make his way back into TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's lineup when it takes on
relegation-threatened Hamburg SV.

Domination.
That's one of the words that can best be used to describe Rangers' undefeated season, a season
that Carlos Bocanegra, Maurice Edu and the rest of the club will attempt to build on when they face
Dundee United on Saturday.
Currently nine points clear of second-place Motherwell with an 11-2-0 record, Rangers should
take another step towards claiming a fourth straight Scottish Premier League title if it can live
up to its expectations against Dundee.
A win from Town today would see the Blues getting three great results from what we thought would be
the three hardest games of the season: Middlesbrough, West Ham and Brighton.
What a wonderful time it is to be a Town fan!
I was speaking to @FelsedBoy this morning and he quite delightfully described today as 'feeling
like the first of the season, with the glorious weather and the feeling of hope in Ipswich'.

As far back as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a floodlight loved floodlights and that
strange, ethereal, almost 'lunar' quality that they tend to lend to football matches but enough
about my little fetishes, let's get on with it.
Tally ho!

So, anyone care to talk about Tuesday night? I wasn't privy to any of the goings-on or morbidly
curious enough to indulge in what you might call highlights, but the gentle murmurings about town
seem to murmur thusly: that Gomes was bad, GDS even more so and Pavlyuchenko a poor first-touch
away from being publicly lynched.

The second week of the English Premier League kicks off this weekend, but it is MLS with the
quality match-ups that headline today's soccer on TV.

Even though the much-anticipated start to the domestic soccer season in Spain has been delayed
by a players' strike, there's still plenty of intriguing matches on the docket for the weekend.

League One is the junction at which all of English footballs avenues meet. At one end of the
spectrum are the likes of Charlton Athletic and the two Sheffield clubs, who have fallen from their
once lofty perches and are now trying to figure a way to get back to where they feel that they
deserve to be.
What a difference twelve months makes. Although their new stadium at Falmer was already well
under way this time last year, optimism surrounding Brighton & Hove Albion this time last year was
cautious to say the least. The League One contenders looked tough, and one final year at Withdean,
where a lack of atmosphere came as an unwanted free gift with the very design of the ground, made
promotion feel like a stretch too far.
