.The Czech Republic got a 2-0 victory over Poland on Oct 10 in a home match at Sparta Stadium. The
first half of the match was uneventful. In the first half goalkeeper, Peter Cech saved a closed one

Saturday's Premier League action provided us with some very entertaining action with no shortage
of goals. While the Premier League table once again has a familiar look, the attacking quality this
weekend has compensated for this.
Firstly the new league leaders Manchester United grabbed a two goal win over Stoke.

Ballack nets the equalizer against Sunderland
I have been talking Chelsea up to anyone who would listen for the last few months and two games
into the Premier League season and I couldn't be happier with my predictions of glory for
Chelsea.
"Why?" You ask.
Of all of the top four teams in England Chelsea is the only squad without a glaring hole when
comparing their current squads to last year's teams.

After another summer of big money spending - and who believes they are anywhere near finished! -
the pressure is on Manchester City boss Mark Hughes to achieve an absolute minimum of qualification
for the UEFA Champions League during the 2009-10 campaign. Although many will feel that City should
be looking to challenge for the title, with a number of strong teams in their way, it may prove a
bridge too far for what will essentially be a new team.

first thing we noticed is that the Chelsea keeper looks a LOT like Peter Cech—keeper of the real
Chelsea F.

Chelsea 1 - Barcelona 1 (Global 1-1)

This morning's thriller between Liverpool and Chelsea was the sort of game that occurs only once
every European season, if that. A high-profile knockout game which captivates the fans and
infuriates the coaches in about equal measure.
These two sides have produced some grim encounters over the last few years, but this one bore no
resemblance to the unbearably tight aerial slugfests of the recent past.

Today's big game in the Premier League saw Chelsea and Manchester draw 1-1. In truth both Luis
Filipe Scolari and Sir Alex Ferguson will be reasonably happy with the point although with Chelsea
being at home, Scolari may feel a little upset.
Man United's Ji-Sung Park put the visitors in front after Chelsea keeper Peter Cech parried Dimitar
Berbatov's straight into the path of the on-rushing Park.

Chelsea defeated Manchester City 3-1 as the brilliance of human innovation and skill did not
prevail over a well oiled footballing machine that further established its dominance in the Premier
League with ruthless efficiency. It's clear that Manchester City still have a lot more players to
buy(already questions must be asked of Manager Mark Hughes in having Stephen Ireland starting ahead
of Elano)and more time to develop team chemistry.

2007/8 Review
Everton enjoyed another very good season under the stewardship of David Moyes, flirting with
Champions League qualification for much of the campaign before finishing fifth. This was despite
Everton allowing opponents more attempts on goal than they themselves created. The Toffees were
able to overcome this imbalance thanks to some very sharp finishing from their strikers, dead ball
prowess, and excellent goalkeeping from American Tim Howard.

There have been rumours flying around about Damien Comolli for the last week or so. The man that
made Martin Jol's job impossible is to be removed as quietly as possible once all the transfer
activity is done and the season gets underway.
The figure that was apparently so influential at Arsenal for seven seasons has been a total
disaster for their main rivals.

dog which initiated the canine brawl.
