We have been down this path before. Remember last fall, when you generously agreed to kickstart
a little site known as The Classical? Since then, the site has rocked, gotten sponsors, and
produced some quality writing. Now, a promising North American soccer quarterly needs your
crowdsourced dollars.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle confirms Sebastien Le Toux is trialing with the Premiership club. "We
have received good reports about Sebastian, so we thought we would give him an opportunity to come
into the group," Coyle told the Daily Mirror. "He will train with us for a week and we will see
where we are after that.
I'm currently looking into what the roles of the play-by-play announcer as well as the color
commentator truly are. I'll be speaking to and getting input from announcers from all over the
country with a high level of experience. Hopkins, Lalas, Dunseth, Wynalda and more will be weighing
with their own unique perspectives.
The next Timbers game isn't until September 10th. That's almost two weeks away. So what should
we Timbers-loving folk do until then to pass the time? The obvious answer is, of course, to get
deeply ingrained in one of the many fine European leagues that just recently started this month.
However, I have a better proposition.
Very interesting reports emerging from Germany this weekend. Cologne striker Lukas Podolski has
threatened to quit the club at the end of the season after the club failed to honour their promises
to him.
Last summer, the 26 year old was linked with a move away from the Bundesliga with Arsenal
emerging as his most probable destination.

First, we'd like to wish our own holiday wishes to our readers and new visitors. Thanks for making
2011 a special year at The Yanks Are Coming, and we hope to provide more solid coverage, analysis
and unique perspectives on both the USMNT and USWNT in 2012. Soccer has always had a place at
Christmas- [.
Summer is fading in the rearview mirror, leaving our humble review with three perspectives to
consider: the US Men's National Team moving on from Gold Cup disappointment into the brave new
Klinsmann era, MLS gearing up for playoff and Champions' League crunch time, and various Yanks
abroad getting new leases in new locales.
We have all got used to the negativity that surrounds Chelsea from most of the written press and
the media. We accept that as soon as something doesn't go our way it will be jumped on and dragged
through the papers for days. I have mentioned on here about old dried up ex-pro's who have nothing
else better to do even getting involved.

It is amazing how perspectives & attitudes can change in days. The SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM was under
a dark cloud after drawing 1-1 against Italy in their Group C opener & harshly criticised ( myself
included ) for the strategic "experiment" of a "false forward" by Coach Del Bosque. After the
Spanish Football Teams second Group match against Ireland & with a  4- 0 victory, SPAIN returns as

When PSP runs our live commentary during away matches, we get lots of interesting comments
and questions from readers. We take those comments and try to put together a list of questions that
get to the heart of what Union fans want to know about the team.
The Question: Was last night's midfield lineup the most effective from both personnel
and positioning perspectives?
